After reading about GaryQQQ's challenge and Lambert's diary as well thought it would be a cracking idea to give it a go under the spotlight.
Brilliant what QQQ's doing
Tonight I have £58.71 in my account it's my challenge to get this up to £200, and see if it can be done and how long it takes. I'm pretty confident it can be achieved.
I really just play poker for fun, not really for money, so this is going to challenge me to see if it can be achieved.
My strategy is; 2p 4p games, multi-tabling, and also £2.20 bounty hunters. I will not play higher levels until such time as I have enough to justify it. I can play quite decent but othertimes play shocking!
I'll keep postin of progress.

Up to £61.51 wow massive jump haha
One of the worst bad beats from the session is below, one of the most mental hands ive ever seen:
i'm sure u can do it,
dev
Cheers Mate!
Just had a quick session, up 2 £68.81,
When i'm playing the 2p 4p tables playin 4 at a time. No idea how people can do more than that!
I can only get 4 tables up at a time. Yesterday, lookin at a good hand missed aces on another table and was folded when it timed out!
There was someone talking about TommyD's diary it was good that a good player was doing a diary, and bored of all the low limit diaries.
I think it's a brilliant way for me to track what I am doing, and most importantly stop being throwing away chips by playing mental.
To be fair I dont think there is much difference between a 2p 4p table up to about 10-20p.
It's my plan when I have increased my bank roll to move up to 4p -8p.
Up to £74.65 now, Played a 2.20 BH, only 20 odd runners, ended up 3rd, totally btchered the hand i went out on:
Had a fluh draw on turn, when i hit my 9 after min raise on turn, i was thinkin i was good, so shove.
I should have bet out more on the flop.
Atlast it was a cash!
Dont ever limp, certainly not at this stage of a tourney, you take away all possibility of picking 1200 chips free when the BB folds.
I dont get why youve done something really weak preflop then suddenly show strength on the flop. Calling the turn is fine. You can bet the river but shoving is never gonna get called by a worse hand.
Sorry, dont mean that to sound too harsh. Seems like you are going in the right direction so keep it up
In Response to Re: Bank roll challenge, £58.71 to £200.:
Lol not at all, it was played shockin style lolI've never really thought i could raise blind on blind with q 9 suited, tho here it would have got a fold.
Wht would you raise 2, min raise? If yer calledand missflop, do you continue 2 bet?
Played 2 B/h tonight played terrible and only got 2 bounties.
This is a hand from early doors in the 1st tournie, i flop quads but think i shoulda checked the river, to let the guy keep bluffin, i doubt he's just checking behind, what do you think?
After 2 B/h ers played some cash, had a good run up 2 £89.33:D
Hope the run continues haha
In terms of what hands you do it with, I think Q9s is a lovely hand to do it with against anyone but it kinda depends what the opponent is like. At the start of a tourney theres not much point nicking 20 chips, but like here where you can nick 800, there are plenty of people so tight that I wouldnt even look at my cards before knowing Im gonna minraise their BB if it gets folded to me.
Other players might like defending their BB so everytime you raise, they 3bet you (although these people are few and far between) regardless of what they have to try to put a stop to you doing it.
As for carrying on, like other scenarios it really depends on board texture. From my experience the hands that most people like to call from the BB with are raggy Ax, connecting hands like 79, 8T, 9T etc and PPs. You just need to try to judge how nice the flop is likely to be for them.
For instance if they call and it comes 27Kr, thats very unlikely to help them at all and you can probably just bet and take it down. If it comes AJ8 (2 hearts) probably best to just check/give up
That orfordable tournie the other day, I folded Ace King from early postion 2 from the bubble lol
I had it in my head i needed to cash, but min prize was only 5 or 6 quid, I shoula just shoved it.
I hate playin a tournie and gettin knocked out on or near the bubble lol
Down to £80.17, had a cracking start, nevr got going this morning and played shocking style!
Was missng everything. One of the hands i had a pair and a flush draw on the flop, guy goes all in, looks like an over pairwhich it was, I call and dont improve.
The good with the bad lol
And yeah as WHOAMI has said, stack sizes are important too although on Sky its rare youll ever get to 400/800 and have someone with 60xBB lol. In most shorter stack pots, it reduces your risk for the same reward so your success rate of stealing the BB can be lower to still be +EV, can get away cheaper when necessary, can actually play some postflop poker if stacks arent too small, and as WHOAMI said, it allows people to make mistakes.
Gonna play bit of cash 2, mon the Sunday nite
