I'm new to sky poker and to poker in general. I signed up to sky poker on the recommendation of my better half. He told me a few basics and i started playing. Loved the site and software and felt really safe with it. Signed up to the £10k new player freeroll with no belief in myself whatsoever and just didnt want to embarass myself. 1500 people in the tournament who i imagined were all seasoned pro's sitting behind their computers in sunglasses flicking casino chips in the air and here was little me jumping up and down every time I hit a pair lol Anyway started playing and won a few hands before I knew it someone at the table said we'd all reached the money. Was so excited to be wiinning 50p or whatever and so proud of my achievement. Then i won a few more hands and started phoning my better half "there's only 60 people left i've won a pound now", "there's only 30 left..., there's only 20 left...., I'm at the final table!!! Anyway to end the story i ended up finishing 3rd walking away with £350 for my troubles. My husband has starting calling me "Phil" after Phil Hellmuth (a famous poker player he tells me lol) I've told the world about it!! Posted by crgAA
