    Continuation bet the flop!!

You were the preflop aggressor and failed to continue the aggression on the flop. This telegraphs to your opposition that you are weak/scared.

Youve let the small blind potentially bluff you off the pot because you didn't continue the aggression. Usually when the opponent is in position its a bit easier to put him on the A or the 7 but given his position and that he only limped pre he could really have a wide range here.

defo raise bigger pre 240 upwards.

flop- sometimes I c-bet sometimes just check it back see what happens on turn.

turn- after opponent checked twice think I put bet out now get some value from smaller pairs/draws etc.

river-they donk out nearly half their stack repping they have trip sevens but some opponents bet pot when missed their draw so defo think they are polarised either 3 sevens or nothing maybe wrong.

what reads you have on opponent? they been are they loose/tight, passive/aggro what hands you seen so far from them what mtt  etc it all helps make the decision in the hand.

    Awful advice!

What do you gain from checking back? Smaller pot if you are winning, and gives the opponent chance to catch up/chance to bluff. Checking back is such a negative way to play kings here, its like you're looking for an excuse to fold!!!

You bet 3/4 pot on the flop for VALUE, resistance indicates you're behind and then you look to give up if opponent barrels turn and river.

If you check the flop, its a pure GUESS as to whether they have the 7/flush/Ace on the river or not. If you bet the flop, you either win the pot, or are CERTAIN that you're behind.
