If you would like to make a donation (whether you are participating or not) it would be very much appreciated and you can do so via the link below:

https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/my-2-6-challenge-ba58a66d-0581-446c-9a77-64679f0b5ad4

This is a montage from The Movement Centre's most recent awards day when all the children who had been treated in the previous 12 months were invited to a party where they went down a red carpet (often showing off their newly acquired walking skills) to collect their certificates. To quote "main man" David Williams, AKA @QUICKFEET (top right photo, on the left), "It was an amazing day!" Please share and support if you can. All donations received by 3rd May will be doubled by the government. Link at top of this post:

Details of how to join and what it's all about below:

Hi guys.

It's back in it's 6th Year. The Tim Carter "Sky Poker" Heads Up Cup being named the QUICKFEET CUP for this year and will be supporting THE MOVEMENT CENTRE, a charity that does outstanding work providing Specialised Physiotherapy for disabled children.

It was my honour to make the acquaintance of David Williams AKA @QUICKFEET on the forum yesterday.

I was so inspired by his video that I have decided to run the Heads Up Cup again this year in his honour as per the short video below:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=91KC7fJX-D0

See David's amazing video below:

To sign up, simply make a donation (any amount of your choice) to THE MOVEMENT CENTRE via David's Just Giving page below and post on here once you have done that:

https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/my-2-6-challenge-ba58a66d-0581-446c-9a77-64679f0b5ad4

I will post the process/rules etc in due course.

If you have already made a donation, that's great, just sign up here if you want to be in the heads up comp, no further donation is necessary. Also if you don't want to play but are prepared to make a donation then obviously that would be very gratefully received by David and THE MOVEMENT CENTRE team.

Thanks again for your support!

Stay safe.

QUICKFEET CUP HEADS UP RULES BELOW:

Regarding the rules for this Heads Up comp. It's pretty much the same as last year, but for those of you that are new to it, please see details below:

When all results are in for the relevant round, I will make the draw for the following round using this site:

https://www.daftlogic.com/projects-cup-fixture-generator.htm

All games will be £1.05 NLHE SPEED SNG's. (5min blinds)

Please use the fixture arranging thread for arranging fixtures AND posting results. Officially it will be the home player's (first drawn) responsibility for making contact regarding the fixture, however if you are the away player feel free to initiate contact. If you can't get hold of your opponent on the thread, try a PM, failing that you could try and find them on chat when they are playing.

Synch up on the thread and decide who will reg and who will join and at what time. If you are the one "joining", please do so promptly to avoid a third party "jumping in". Use the rematch functionality until the match is won.

Player's playing schedules/work commitments vary, so please be flexible/considerate to your opponent when choosing the date and time to play.

Round of 32 will be best of three.
Round of 16 will be best of five.
Quarter Finals will be best of five.
Semi Final will be best of five.

FINAL will be best of NINE. (Will be sudden death this year if it goes to 4-4)

Fully engraved trophy and replica for the winner.

HAVE FUN! (it would be good if people were able to rail, so please do post on here what date/time you have arranged to play.)

BEST OF LUCK!

I am grateful for every tenner, fiver, pound or 10p. We are a small charity so the phrase "every little helps" is never truer.
    Thank you very much

Hi guys. Reiterating what David says. Any donation amount is fine. Many thanks for all the donations so far. We appreciate that the lockdown has affected everyone very differently financially, so all donations, of any amount are most welcomed. Please don't overstretch yourself. Thanks again.

16 entrants in less than 24 hours which is great! It'd be awesome if we could get 16 more.

I will plan to start on 1st May, so we have one week to drum up support. Please do encourage other players to join if you can. There will be two weeks for the first round to be completed, so if players want to wait until Mini UKOPS ends, then they can.

Many thanks to you all, what a great community we have!
