Why do you prefer Hold Em to Omaha?

Only ever played Omaha once, and that was a complete accident. Thinking I was in the Hold em lobby I entered a £5 sit and go, supping my coffee then getting the fright of my life when four hole cards appeared on screen.
Never having played before and having no idea of the rules, I was raising and re raising to the point where the other players must have thought they were in the presence of a lunatic whilst frantically trying to find the rules online whilst playing.
Unbelievably (honest) I ended up winning the tourney thus ending my Omaha career with a 100% win ratio, which quite frankly not many people can claim.

If like me you are totally baffled by this question, then please take a look here...

There is no reason to "prefer" Hold Em it is an inferior game. The only reason to play it ahead of Omaha is the volume. Please end this ridiculous thread.

    I don't play Omaha because I can't play Omaha.

I prefer to play Omaha just because there's more action. Obviously it's more fun. The problem is that anything below PLO200 is unbeatable without bum hunting and even at 200 you don't want to be playing pump or dump, you should be nitting it up big time. In true Sky Poker fashion, however, most players here decide to sit only at PLO100 and below when the reality is that even against slightly better opposition you will be better off at 200 than 100. :#

    The daily question could be

Are you above or below 70?

I enjoy playing both NLHE and PL08 , doesn’t answer the question though , maybe I’ll change my mind in 6 years time 😉.

If it's just a choice between Holdem and Omaha then I'd say Holdem, but only because I have little experience of playing Omaha and there just aren't enough games to play Omaha only. I prefer PLO8 to Holdem however. I find it a more interesting game and certainly on here the player pool is a bunch of friendly and happy people (with only one or two rare exceptions).

For me its simply a case of time, and by that I mean thinking time.

I find I need more time to run through the myriad of possibilities each street brings and for me its not easy.

I think you're either naturally hardwired to play Omaha or not and Im not. I will play it occasionally but that's all.

Now 5 card stud that's a different matter.

85% hold em and 15% omaha seems a good balance.

So I guess the answer is HE

Its not even a valid question, one is obviously very easy, you have more hole cards to choose from, the other takes years to master and is fascinating.
