Who won what, Thursday 22nd October

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 161,196

Morning.

The run of solid MTT numbers continued with another full house last night, & Forum Traffic was a little better too.

Tonight is a big night of course, with the £6,000 BWBH, £10,000 Main & £4,000 Mini, so it will be good if all those cover nicely.

There's a definite feel-good factor to Friday, even though with most of us WFH - even assuming we still have a job - weekdays & weekends all seem to merge together now.

On which note, enjoy your weekend, & let's get on with the results.

£1,000 BH £1,060

£6,000 Hitman Main £7,140

£1,500 Hitman Mini £1,735

£1,000 Mega £1,240

£2,000 Sheriff £2,350

£1,500 Turbo £1,680

£1,000 Quickdraw £1,400

£1,000 Mid Ex £1,420

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,060)

    A spectacular session for @fatcol, firstly winning the £1,000 BH @ 7.30 for £370 then following up with 3rd in the Main Event for another £500 or so. Terrific stuff.

    2nd was GELDY, with dannygeeze 3rd.

    Something of a double for NOSTRI, 5th last night & 4th in the same one the previous night. He was also 2nd in it a week ago. Quite the specialist, but it's about time he won it.

    @fatcol 159000 1 £196.10 + £168.91 Head Prizes 9

    @GELDY 0 2 £116.60 + £58.13 Head Prizes 7

    @dannygeeze 0 3 £79.50 + £17.34 Head Prizes 2

    @ally44 0 4 £58.30 + £35.27 Head Prizes 4

    @NOSTRI 0 5 £42.40 + £52.51 Head Prizes 6

    Oh my, happy days, Donald won the Main. Yet another example of someone who put effort into improving his game & it's paying dividends. It was his 2nd Main Event win in 10 weeks, as he also won Sharpshooter Main in early August. His Sharky graph is looking good too, showing over £5,000 profit in 2020. Could not happen to a more decent bloke.

    Runner-up chrisdboy is doing very nicely too. In addition to 2nd for £700+ here, he won Sharpshooter earlier this month for £1,670, & in September of course he collected a whopping £15,700 when taking down the inaugural SPT Online.

    Not to be completely outdone, The Bates was 6th.

    £1,500 Mini Hitman (£1,735)

    rhino11 had the patience to single table the Mini all the way to winning it. That's patience & focus, not sure I could single table that long, though of course I'd not need to...

    In 6th was Allan23, the 3rd time he's been 6th in the Mini in 3 months. In the same period he's also been 1st, 2nd & 3rd. Just needs 4th & 5th to complete the full set now. There's an age-old argument in poker that when someone proves they can beat a certain buy-in level they should automatically move up the stakes. I don't buy that, if you can beat a level, & you are a recreational player, stick where you know you can do well. Doing well is fun. Moving up in stakes only means we eventually reach our level of incompetence (in almost all cases) , & we end up giving our hard-earned winnings back.

    @rhino11 694000 1 £219.04 + £76.93 Head Prizes 9

    What's going on here? Ambo took down Sheriff. oioi, marvellous, YBA etc. Well done old fella, seems you can still run with the kids.

    A typically tough Sheriff FT too, with hotshots collin11, cabbaz, Crushy & heddoh 2nd to 5th, & the foot-soldier suckmetoe in 6th.

    £1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,680)

    cabbaz could only manage 3rd in Sheriff - lol @ "only" - but soon got consolation by taking down the Turbo.

    mushroom1 narrowly missed a nice double, he won this on Wednesday before coming 2nd last night. His Sharky graph is starting to make me feel dizzy.

    3rd was TIMBER, who won Wednesday's Quickdraw.

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,420)

    Discokenny has just 16 MTT's to his name on Sharky & this was only his 5th in 6 weeks. Even so, those 5 attempts include 4th in Sheriff, 3rd in Summit & now the top step in the Mid Ex podium. Seems like he can cut some moves.

    Definitely ran Ok there. Bit of a late finish, lucky the heads up went quite quickly as I was dozing off. I've been playing every night trying to get into form ready for UKOPs.

    Thanks as every TK, for your very kind words. In from the satellite then a real rollercoaster of a tournament. Down to fumes a couple of times towards the end including down to 2BBs with eight to go before lady luck smiled on me. Great heads-up with Chris which could have gone either way but was played in a great spirit.
    As you mentioned I’ve been working on my game and thanks to Graham (Stayorgo) and previously Andy(Chickenmelt) for their help, and support from the Hitsquad members. Also Dara O’Kearney for his books on Satellite and PKO strategies.
    Some are born with a natural talent and some of us have to work at it but it’s all worth while when you see the results.
    Pleased to see that a grey haired recreational player can compete with the regs.

    Yes on Facebook. It was the 'If Andy Burnham had registered as a small limited company with no experience in making PPE, no staff and £300 in the bank he'd have £100 million in the bank by tea time ' one. Very good too, but I feel as he probably didn't donate to the Tory party, his application may fall at the last.

    I realised it was that one...seen it now. Quite a few pages seem to have picked up on it like Another Angry Voice and it got a Retweet from Terry Christian (!) quite early on. My 2nd most popular Tweet but still ticking up three days later. My mum said someone posted it on some group she is in!
