Police have poured cold water on a planned Canvey Island dogging meet-up of up to 25,000 people, warning any al fresco sex encounters in Essex would breach Covid rules.

    You appear to be confusing Canvey with Brentwood.

    I've been known to say such things in Brentwood. In Canvey, that would impact severely on my life expectancy...

    I seem to remember watching a documentry about Canvey Island years a ago, seemed quite cultured, Doctor Feelgood were from about there ,one of the most underated groups ever.

    Never heard it called "crack down" before :)

    PS-Dr Feelgood were great for a while. Largely only remembered for "Milk & alcohol", but songs like "Roxette" and "Sneaking Suspicion" were tremendous songs.
