Who won what, Friday 7th May - Sam, Sam, the Avenger Man.

Morning.

MTT traffic was pleasantly brisk last night, even by the standards of a Friday, which are always busy. On Thursday evening we suffered that annoying external network issue which upset many players - understandably - but it's amazing how quickly everyone forgets & we move on.

Away from Sky Poker, various UK Cardrooms announced they will be re-opening soon. More than anything, I'm pleased for their staff, & the dealers, who have been without work for so long. Having said that, plexi screens between every player & mandatory mask wearing does not seem conducive to the social occasion that most of us play Live poker to enjoy. Maybe I've lost my spark for Live poker, but screens & masks at the poker table are not for me, & I'll await more normal playing conditions.

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£1,246)

    Until a few days ago 1-Day had been under my radar, but he won the Mini on Monday, then popped up with a 7 @ 7 victory last night. He also ran 3rd in last night's Rewards Freeroll for another £60.

    In 4th was jakescol who has plenty of winning form, including over £2,000 for a BWBH win on New Years Day.

    In 5th was tonyp142, and he was far from finished for the evening as we shall shortly see.

    @1-DAY 356000 1 £169.77 + £88.08 Head Prizes 11

    @Owey 0 2 £101.86 + £14.22 Head Prizes 2

    £8,000 Big Weekend Bounty Hunter (£10,100)

    roddy28 took BWBH, so since mid-March he has now won 3 Main Events (including an Avenger) & a BWBH. In all, he's had five 4 figure cashes this year including two that were over £2,000. He's an out & out beast, for sure. A nice beast, in the same way as a grizzly bear is nice until you actually have to share a table with one. Not so nice then.

    tonyp142 made it two finals on the bounce, 5th in 7 @ 7 & 2nd here, with scotty a fine third.

    PRhack83, who won Thursday's 7 @ 7, was 5th with wineli 6th.

    @roddy28 505000 1 £1464.50 + £1231.99 Head Prizes 12

    @tonyp142 0 2 £959.50 + £523.83 Head Prizes 10

    @scotty77 0 3 £593.38 + £239.07 Head Prizes 5

    @Tonyzya 0 4 £479.75 + £271.88 Head Prizes 7

    @PRhack93 0 5 £391.38 + £168.75 Head Prizes 4

    £10,000 Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£11,880)

    The Main went to jimikk, & I have no notes on him at all & no history, although I do know he had not played an MTT here for over 2 weeks. Waltzed in, took the money, thank you very much.

    2nd was jordz16, who has been a huge winner here over many years, his most recent big win being a Sunday Major for over £4,000 last month.

    The most eye-catching performance of the entire night though belonged to IVIystical. I've no idea what he was doing playing a Main, that is way above his bankroll & he generally sticks to £1 & £2 stuff where he does OK. He also frequents the £5.50 Mini quite often, & his results there include 1st, 4th, 6th & 6th. Whatever the reason, it worked out really well, & he earned over £500, slightly less than his biggest ever cash which was in that memorable SPT Online. Lovely job Sam, well done.

    @Jimikk 1398000 1 £1550.34 + £461.26 Head Prizes 7

    £4,000 Mini Avenger Rebuy B/Hunter (£5,810)

    The Mini fell to luma7801, who won a Reload in March. He's made several Mini FT's but I think this was his maiden victory.

    HAYSIE was 2nd & PKRPar was 4th. And thereby hangs a tale, as PKRPar was chip leader at one stage & may well have won it but for one unforgiveable blunder - he tried to bluff HAYSIE. I mean, I'm not digging out PKRpar, but there are a few golden rules in poker, & one of them is never - NEVER - try to bluff HAYSIE. It always ends badly, trust me. "Pass" & "fold" are not in his vocabulary, any more than "yes, I admit I was wrong".

    @luma7801 2808000 1 £726.25 + £187.49 Head Prizes 14

    @HAYSIE 0 2 £406.70 + £102.53 Head Prizes 12

    @PKRPar 0 4 £190.28 + £73.95 Head Prizes 10

    BeachBody, 2nd in this 2 nights earlier, got his revenge last night.

    bigfatfish was 4th with Thursday's Turbo winner Bleurgh 5th.

    £2,000 Sheriff Bounty Hunter (£3,000)

    Swimmr is riding the crest of a wave. In his first 4 years here he was about £5,000 in profit, but in the last 3 months he's made over £15,000.

    SwannLol, who collected almost £2,000 for winning the £6,000 BH last month was 2nd.

    In 4th was that model of calm waller02, who remains cool & composed not matter how bad things are going. He's also the fella we have to thank for devising & running the MML.

    @Swimmr 300000 1 £555 + £392.56 Head Prizes 9

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,788)

    I have absolutely no data on last night's Reload winner, bigwoof, so not much I can add except "well done Mr Woof".

    £1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£2,130)

    It's been a very long time since I've seen 666bumpy in the winners enclosure, but I do recall he won MidEx at least three times last year, so he's presumably quite handy.

    The Frooz was 2nd, & SwannLol, 2nd in Sheriff, was 6th this time.

    @666bumpy 355000 1 £319.50 + £291.56 Head Prizes 9

    @Froozle 0 2 £213 + £82.97 Head Prizes 6

    £1,500 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,820)

    Doooobs continues to do well in late night stuff, this was his 2nd MidEx win in under a month, & he's won Turbo twice recently too. Historically, he does well in the Sunday Major, & he has a lively chance in the upcoming SPT Online imo.

    @Doooobs 273000 1 £259.35 + £168.35 Head Prizes 7

    @mylynn 0 2 £160.16 + £131.52 Head Prizes 12

    Thanks a bunch @Tikay10. After recent results, and some real life getting in the way, I've slowed down on quantity but been more open to playing in some higher buy ins. Had a few goes at the main but this was a result out of nowhere and super happy to make a final table!
