Who won what, Tuesday 20th July - StayOrGo tops the Summit

Tikay10Tikay10 Member, Administrator, Moderator Posts: 159,958

Morning.

The excessive heat continues, so all things considered, MTT traffic last night was not too bad, with both the Main & Summit covering with a degree of comfort.

In sport, England won the third & deciding T20 v Pakistan. The notable here was the amount of noise the crowd made. As far as I know, there is no longer a limit on crowd sizes at sporting events. It's good to see & hear, but whether it's a good thing is another matter.

Most fascinating TV of the day was the TV interview of Dominic Cummings by Laura Kuenssberg. I'm a huge fan of Laura, but she definitely seemed a bit angry & snarly towards Dominic. A fascinating watch though.

    7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£868)

stephe1953 has made the 7 @ 7 final three times before last night, finishing 6th, 6th & 3rd, and it was fourth time lucky last night as they booked the win. Earlier in the day they ran 5th in a £300 BH too, so it was a good day for stephe.

In 4th was spearsy136, who then went on to run 3rd in a £1,000 Rebuy BH.

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter (£1,000)

This went to yiddioyid, who then followed up with 4th in a £500 BH. When I was at school, we were taught that "yid" was an offensive term, but I'm really not sure if that's still the case as the term seems to be in common usage these days, especially amongst football fans. To be fair, it's been a while since I was at school.

Quite a star-studded FT this, with such notables as The Bates, miniman & PRhack 93 all in attendance.

    £5,000 Gold Rush (£5,670)

    On February 19th this year Han94x won Hitman Main & I wrote;

"On Wednesday he played three Freerolls (total return £1) & the Mini (unplaced). Last night he single tabled the Main the whole way. His average buy-in is about £4, so I've no inkling as to why or how he came to play the Main, but it sure worked out well for him."

Well history repeated itself last night, as once again Han94X played three freerolls with no return, plus the Main, which they won. That's all they played. That's a very odd spend profile, but it seems to be working so good luck to them.

scooby78 has twice won 7 @ 7 this year but broke their Mini duck last night when taking it down.

In 3rd, & ensuring a hefty chunk of MML points was Chalky666, with high-roller chrisdonkb in 4th.

Almost certainly a personal best for Mega winner pokerphil.

Beat an above-average Mega FT too, with Crushy, BooBoo & DUTCHESS62 all vying for the win.

    £5,000 Summit Bounty Hunter (£6,500)

StayOrGo played a handful of MTT's here last night & bagged the biggest 1st prize of the night, almost £2,000 for winning Summit.

I never watched the late stages, but I imagine it got quite aggro heads up between Graham & Palace.

Boring Accountant quietly snuck into third, probably without anyone noticing, & PBKR was fifth.

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,500)

crunkcom generally plays exactly one MTT per night, always Reload, & not only took the win last night but broke their Results Thread duck. Interesting alias, when I verbalise it I automatically want to say crunkdotcom.

    £1,500 Turbo Bounty Hunter (£1,560)

Arrogant is in terrific form of late & added (another) Turbo to his overflowing trophy cabinet.

2nd was the curiously-aliased TooManyMen, playing their first MTT for over six weeks.

    £1,000 Quickdraw (£1,280)

longjob won Quickdraw for the second time this year, having also won Mega & MidEx in the last few months.

Quite a tough renewal, with M10Dembele (3rd), Dooobs (4th) & Dog Bloke, who has banked a few nice results elsewhere recently, 6th.

    £1,000 Midnight Express B/Hunter (£1,120)

Calumshedz has a very limited MTT history here, & has not been seen for six weeks, but ring-rust was no problem & they took MidEx from another quite challenging FT.

A Radiohead track from their heyday. I'd quite forgotten how good this is. The video has a quite surprising ending too.

Congrats @StayOrGo . I did watch you down to heads up, and thought you'd blown it at one stage with 3 left. Pleased ot see you came good at the end.

Radiohead have been one of the upside of lockdown; they have put loads of free content up on their youtibe channel. Pity the techies at youtube haven't found a way of stopping adverts from popping up bang in the middle of songs.

I found this earlier, where somebody has put the song they did for the James Bond Film Spectre over the intro to the film. With a bit of editing it works pretty well. Think they should have gone with it.

VWP Graham, good to see you back crushing it.

Radiohead are the GOAT. I saw Thom Yorke had done a remix of Creep recently, ‘Radiohead featuring Thom Yorke’ is one to get the head around haha.

I'd genuinely like to know why? I think she is atrocious.

I just admire her as a person, who has done extremely well in what is largely a male dominated profession. During Brexit she never stopped working but somehow always did her pieces to camera very well imo.

She did seem overly snarly last night though.

Many thanks @Doooobs @bbMike @LARSON7 and for the write up @Tikay10

Of course I got very lucky, and indeed did nearly blow it, over playing Rag Aces. :D

Nice FT and great heads up against @cpfc_2010 (quality player)

Haven't been playing much volume due to some family things going on, and playing a bit on other sites.

However, it's always good to hear from, and play against, "the good guys" of SkyPoker.

    Hi @Tikay10
Hope you are doing OK, my old friend (in every sense of the phrase). Take care and Kelly sends hugs and kisses.
