Warning thieves? about

davhotreddavhotred Member Posts: 39
At 1130am I had £53 in my account, By 1135 this was only 0.12p as for the first time in 13 years with(?) Sky Poker I decided to play roulette!!! My main gripe is that Sky Bet/Poker don't want to know. There is no easy mechanism now,as there was in the past,to make contact with complaint re fraud. My bank is taking up the matter (for the principle)

Not sure I understand your question.

You lost £53 playing roulette & have complained to your bank?

If you think there is something improper happening you can raise it with Customer Care who will pass it on to the right agency within the Business. Or you can raise it with an outside agency such as IBAS or the UKGC. I'm not at all sure how your bank will be able to assist.

If your name was davhotblack you would probably have won £53.

    Sorry for your loss.

TK £53 disappearedat 1135 According to your 'My Account I lost it at one go on Roulette. I've ONLY played Poker on Sky for the last 13 years. I found it impossible to contact Sky poker/Bet. How does one contact Customer Care ?

To contact support, you need to use the green "Help & Support" link at the bottom of the page.

Note you need Sky Casino (presumably?) not Sky Poker. Sky Poker don't offer Roulette.

I'm still not clear what you ae alleging. Are you saying you never lost the money but your account says you did? Either way, nobody on the Sky Poker Forum can assist, you need to go via the appropriate Customer Care.

Please also be assured that neither Sky Poker or Sky Casino "steal" player's money.

I expect there's a logical explanation for it all, & I do hope you get sorted. Go through the right channels & I'm sure it will all get resolved.

Yes thanks. The support from 3 different guys was excelllent. They knew what they were talking about. Thanks to you TK as well. and the minor point is the £50 is back. As a £1.10 DYMMER since 2008, my only advice is to keep a minimum in your account (obvious)

Does anyone know if there is an option for two-factor authentication with Sky? Needing just a 4 digit pin number to access your account has always felt a little disconcerting.

You can have a 6 digit pin

    @Duesenberg

    Morning.

I have to say that's not my understanding as to how it works, but as I'm unsure, Ill get it checked out.

My understanding is that when a player FIRST signs up with Sky Poker, they are invited to select a Username & a Password. Then, once they open a table for the first time, they are invited to select a SCREEN NAME (the alias that everyone sees). The Username & Password therefore remain hidden, & you now have a "public" screen-name (or "alias"), in your case Duesenberg.

I'm not absolutely sure on this though, so I will get it checked out & report back to you.

Have to add, in all the time Sky Poker have operated, I've not been aware of any problems with Account Security, which, if the system was unsafe, wold surely not be the case?

    Anyway, I'll get it checked.

PS - the OP never revealed what had happened in his case, (& of course he was not obliged to, & it may have been unwise to do so) & so I don't think we should assume anything.
