Who won what, Wednesday 9th March - the first of our new style Results Threads.

edited March 2022 in Poker Chat
Afternoon.

Following on from the terrific feedback yesterday, the Results Thread now incorporates many of the suggestions received.

The Traffic Report is no more, RIP.

The list of Prize pools has gone.

"This day last year" has gone.

Sports Report will now have it's own thread(s), starting, I hope, today.

Most of the late night Big Boys MTT 's (Sheriff, Turbo etc) have been dropped but will appear as & when results look interesting.

3 new smaller buy-in MTT's have been added, so we get to give more coverage to the regular guys.

The feedback was great, so keep it coming, nothing is cast in stone. "Community" is important to Sky Poker & I'm keen to try & get more engagement in Views & maybe Posts too.

New & improved, as the adverts always say? Maybe not, just the old stuff ponced up a bit, but let's see how we go.

    £1,000 Bounty Hunter @ 1830 (£1,155)

    This is the first of our newly added MTT's. I'm not familiar with many of them but we'll soon get up to speed.

    f1sheroo gets the honour of our first winner, and it was his 2nd win in short order, as he won a £500 BH 3 days earlier. Seems to be a regular in this particular MTT though, as on the 2nd & 3rd of March he achieved an odd double - 11th on both days. Considering the field sizes were 210 & 222 that's some going, and there were 231 last night.

    hazelwoo05 is no stranger to the Forum though we don't see him these days. 2nd here & then won the £500 BH that runs at 2215. Makes plenty of money considering his ABI of about a fiver. I believe he now heads the MML table too. Be good to see some different names win that - no disrespect to the regulars intended, obv.

    FT bubble-boy was my old mate @FORDAKIDZ . Those with very long memories may remember him appearing in a feature on the TV show in around 2008. Proper good lad, & we still keep in touch.

    @f1sheroo 462000 1 £153.04 + £36.46 Head Prizes 5 £10.99

    £700 7 at 7 Bounty Hunter (£952)

    A month to the very day since finishing 2nd in 7 @ 7, @albaking took the win. Been here 11 years or so & is another who has a 5 figure profit off an ABI of around £5. For a recreational player, that's as good as it gets really, & these guys are the backbone of online poker.

    glencoelad was 3rd, well done George. How's the fishing going?

    8th & 10th were our good friends Boxster & the gregarious @waller02

    £1,000 Rebuy B/Hunter @ 1910 (£1,325)

    The 2nd of the 3 MTT's we've added on a trial basis.

    mazblyth took the win. Has played 11,000 MTT's here & I've never heard of them. How is that even possible? Maybe my memory has gone on the blink, sorry Mr Blyth.

    4th was neenio, no stranger to these threads & who won a Predator Main in January.

    @waller02 was a busy if heinous boy, 9th in the 7 @ 7, 5th here, 4th in a £500 BH & 7th in Mega. To be fair to Ryan, more abrasive than #80 sandpaper, his Sharky graph is a beauty.

    6th was Cheekytick, who might best be described as a likeable parasite.

    £5,000 Predator Bounty Hunter (£5,520)

    snoxx11 had an excellent night, taking the Main & then running 5th in the Mini, so collecting £500 worth of FTJ bonus. Has some startling back-form, including winning Summit twice in 4 weeks back in 2018.

    Regular faces extraman, DivsDreams were 4th & 5th, & newdaddy in 6th can afford to but plenty of nappies.

    Talking of nappies, does anyone remember real nappies, made of towelling? Common sight was to see a dozen or more of them hung out to dry on washing lines. These days it's all disposables, which are not really disposables at all, & they cause all sorts of environmental issues. Bring back proper nappies I say. A subject close to my heart actually given the age-related problems I can maybe soon expect.

    Super_Oli was FT bubbler, 8th was McCreamy, which sounds like something we'd buy in Macdonalds, with Guitar Bloke #2 in 9th.

    £500 Bounty Hunter @ 2000 (£500)

    This is the third of our "new" MTT's covered.

    elvisg is blocked on Sharky, but we do know he won Mini only last week, which was his second Mini trophy.

    I maybe spent too much time with Richard Orford, aka Lord ****, but when I see the alias of 3rd placed HONEYBUSH I always think of the Orf, it's the sort of name he so loved.

    6th was -Stuey- who often features in the prizes in the various Community Comps here.

    £1,500 Mini Predator (£1,500)

    DiggerMan is back, hoe hoe hoe. Let's see who works that one out. Great lad with whom I've spent many a happy hour at poker events in South Wales.

    snoxx11 was 5th & so completed his FTJ prize.

    Mr Par, who informed us yesterday he plays football in "the eighth tier" of Scottish football. Lower than a dachshunds belly.

    8th was @boatrace who I think is this fella;

    £1,500 Reload Rebuy B/Hunter (£1,743)

    Supermog took Reload, only his 4th MTT since finishing 4th in the same MTT middle of last month. And with zzgoose in 2nd it was so nearly cat amongst the pigeons.

    @NOSTRI was 4th. In the feedback thread there was much enthusiasm for @NOSTRI needles, but I'm not buying into that, we need to encourage these micro stakes guys for whom 4th in a Reload is a seriously big deal.

    @Supermog 1588000 1 £234.08 + £76.73 Head Prizes 12

    £1,000 Quickdraw (£1,120)

    The rise & rise of podraic continues - he now has a shiny gold star on Sharky & sits 3rd in the 2022 Sky Poker Profit Leaderboard, behind only @Natnug & @jordz16. Whether it's accurate is another matter, as it has the much-abused @HAYSIE in 4th, & we all know how good he is.

    RogueCell was 2nd, & has had a challenging year as she was on the frontline of the fight against COVID, and that's not an easy gig. Quite an expert too, appeared on the news bulletins from time to time as she's a leading expert in the field of haematology. Bravo Clair. If only she did e-sports, we could eat her.

    @podraic 140000 1 £207.20 + £207.97 Head Prizes 5

    @RogueCell 0 2 £140 + £99.84 Head Prizes 6

    Here in Welsh Wales, they have mixed a ton of dirty disposable nappies with tarmac for roadsurfacing and it works a treat apparently with years of extra roadworthiness for the roads.

    SPT Brighton Semi

    Until last night there had not been a single "dupe" winner, but that all changed as all three won their 2nd seat.

    @tonyp142 16262.50 2 SPT Brighton Seat

    So there we have it, the first of the new-style Results Threads.

    More changes will come, so keep the feedback coming please. And whilst I appreciate them, no, I'm not fishing for compliments, say it as you see it, then maybe we can get it better, faster.

    @Tikay10 your talk of nappies and such like reminded me of a time when, one afternoon, whilst a teenager, I was sitting watching tv with my mum and brother when the post man rocked up with a huge envelope addressed to me.

    Not expecting anything, I was genuinely intrigued what it could be. My mother was also intrigued continually asking "well what is it?" as I ripped it open. My brother on the otherhand remained quite silent.

    It wasn't until I opened it fully, that my brother burst out laughing. He placed an order in my name for a free sample of Tena Man. And it wasn't quite as discrete as the type you posted an image of.

    As pranks go, it was pretty tame in comparison to some you see these days, but at least it got a few giggles from a couple of immature adolescents :D

    I would have said exactly what @waller02 has already said (apart from needing to Google gregarious).

    Nice to see that the inclusion of the £5 games has given players with a £5 ABI a chance of featuring and has already highlighted the abilities of a few handy players at those stakes.

    Yes, I'm quite pleased with that, & also pleased that the feedback prompted me to try it.

    Possibly look at adding the 7.30 BH in at sometime (£5.50 buy in). Doesn't run everyday.

    If it adds to the workload, ignore this. If you need to drop a MTT to include this, drop the £1500 rebuy donkey BH. If @NOSTRI can cash in that, it shows the level of skill needed in that MTT.
