But it's bad news for former England striker Michael Owen, 42, because this year's lineup of dating hopefuls, which includes his daughter Gemma, 19, WILL be shown having sex after last year's series' blackout. Love Island producers confirmed to MailOnline that while food-eating challenges have been scrapped, sex is still on the menu, and they will assess each moment of pleasure between the Islanders on a case-by-case basis.

    I have never watched this show and really don't understand its appeal.
    Everyone I have ever seen interviewed (that has anything to do with it) has absolutely no redeeming features.
    They are all annoying **** holes.
    Just my opinion obviously, someone must like it.

    Not all reality TV is bad. I remember Jeremy Spake, in the original Airport. Where a passenger is insisting they bought the duty-free vodka at the airport, so were entitled to drink it on the plane. His reply:-

    "They sell condoms in Boots. Need I say more?"

    Once watched 2 minutes of Love Island-terrible. Iain Stirling seemed OK-the rest is just toe-curlingly bad.

    ITVBe. There so all the total dross can be avoided.

    I dont suppose Michael Owen will be watching it either.
    I am happy to say that I have never watched a single episode, of any reality show.
    I couldnt imagine anything like this being acceptable when I was a young man.
