in the strictest sense could this be classed as theft?
So random one me and my girlfriend were headed out when randomly we saw a bedside chest of draws with a hand written note saying free to take left outside a house.
As it just so happened we had been meaning to sort out getting a bedside chest of draws for some time but had never got round to it so we took it. obviously no one would pursue any action and the police would not bother but just curious in the strictest sense of the law would this be deemed illegal to take?
