Well what an awful video, he kept going on about the Supersport yet the video shows various different RR cars, in the end I had no idea what they were showing or even whether it's a 2 seat or 4 seater! Thankfully it's just a prototype at the moment so hopefully it'll be more of a looker when it's finally produced or maybe RR will have second thoughts and realise that sports cars are not really their thing.

Another YT video, equally as bad, shows this image to start with and then one, at 53 seconds, possibly the ugliest supercar I have ever seen, even for a prototype. Come on RR, you can do better than that.

Car designs and car manufacturers evolve.

Many classic styles that were the epitome of their creators are no longer thought of when the marque is mentioned.

For Example if you said Ford to 30 yr old they would probably associate the name with a Mondeo or a Ka or a Focus. I automatically think Capri, Granada, Cortina.

Jaguar are no longer that iconic Jag shape, BMW and Mercedes have changed out of all recognition and even Ferrari have moved on.

Now don't get me wrong a 4 door 4WD people carrier rocking a Porsche badge is NOT a freaking Porsche, but could the above be a roller. Definately, maybe.

Whereas I automatically think Anglia, Prefect, Popular, Zephyr or Zodiac.

RR didn't exactly set the SUV market on fire at their attempt to break in to that market.

Cullinan Looks Like a Chinese Knock-Off of a Rolls-Royce SUV.

When someone says Ford to me I automatically think of a method of crossing a river.

That's probably because the only crash I've ever had on a road was in my old Ford Cortina so I try and put Fords out of my mind. I drove home on a freshly salted road one winter night, only to find the bit on the exit of a corner where they obviously ran out of salt. A brief detour off road looked like it was going to be ok as I got the car under control, however there was a very poorly positioned telegraph pole which wrecked my prospects and my car. Two weeks after I had put a new engine in it too.

When you can't afford a RR but you've got a Volvo...

Hidden Under This ‘Rolls-Royce Skyline’ Is A Volvo 240.

The Volvo 240's owner is clearly a fan of the Rolls-Royce Phantom and Nissan R32 Skyline.

Now that it what Rolls Royce do better than anyone else, an absolutely beautiful car.

I once knew a man who had a vintage Corniche (he called her 'the old lady'), a brand new Rolls, a limited edition Porsche 911 and a top of the range Mercedes. All kept in the garage of his house on the banks of the Thames, which frequently flooded! When he was out of the country (he was a Monaco resident... obviously), one of the handyman's jobs was to move the cars to safer ground when the Thames was in flood.

We all know that you're referring to yourself here. what I want to know is was the "handyman" your valet or one of the more menial staff you have below stairs.

Unfortunately not, the handyman was my best friend though. I did get a look at the cars when I fished the Thames from the back garden with my pal. Just to add the chap concerned then lost a lot of his assets in a divorce settlement and even more due to being defrauded by his accountant, he ended up going back to work in the City I think. He's probably back to being minted again now though, he was that sort. Really nice guy too.

$15 Million Dubai License Plate Sits On A Mansory Rolls-Royce Cullinan.

The luxurious British SUV has a dramatic two-tone turquoise and matte black paint scheme.

In April last year, a Dubai license plate sold for a staggering 55 million UAE dirhams or $14.9 million, setting a record as the most expensive license plate ever sold. That plate has now found a home and unsurprisingly, it has been affixed to a very striking vehicle; a Rolls-Royce Cullinan comprehensively modified by Mansory.

This particular Cullinan has been adorned with the tuner’s bodykit but has been also further customized, making it a one-off. Mansory refers to it as the ‘Linea D’Oro’ and is finished in an eye-catching two-tone paint scheme.

The front half of the luxurious SUV sports a lovely turquoise shade that extends across the fascia, front quarter panels, and the front half of the doors. Mansory has added a forged carbon fiber hood with a handful of golden accents, perfect for a city as wealthy and as excessive as Dubai.

From the center of the front doors, the turquoise paint gradually shifts to a stealthy shade of matte black which dominates the rear of the SUV. The same forged carbon fiber and gold accents found up front continue across the rear, including the diffuser and the decklid lip spoiler. The owner has also had the Rolls fitted with a set of lovely gloss black wheels and all of the windows have been tinted to maximize privacy. One particularly interesting part of the SUV’s design is the clear Spirit of Ecstacy badge up front with a light turquoise tinge.

Numerous changes have also been made to the Cullinan’s interior, including having the seats, door panels, steering wheel, and much of the dashboard clad in turquoise leather. Complementing the exterior finish are several carbon fibre parts with gold accents.

When people talk of cars that signify their age earlier in this thread.

My youth was clearly preoccupied with other stuff.

I remember the Ford Escort. The Ford Fiesta. And the Mini Mayfair.

And thought-they just need the Peugeot Penthouse and the Renault Razzle for the full set ;)
