This day last year
"Let's start with the last of the current series of Stack Builder Freerolls. As you know, players start with different stack sizes, with some having as many as 8,000 or even 10,000. Here's the starting stacks for the Top 6, in finishing order.
1st 2,000
2nd 4,000
3rd 6,000
4th 2,000
5th 3,000
6th 4,000
So you don't need a big starting stack to do well.
The winner was @SMARTGOAT who has been here 10 years & played 18,000 games & has always been profitable at MTT's as well as DYM's & Cash. Even so, he collected £2,700 last night which was more than double his previous best which was for winning an Avenger Main. 2nd was @OnlySmells who is a high volume cash player & does not usually play MTT's except for Freerolls. 3rd was @LittleGJ, who enjoyed his 4th best cash all time. Very similar to @aynaricol who collected £700 for 4th, her 4th biggest cash of all time I believe. What a great Promo that was.
In the Major, despite a star-studded FT the win went to @richking who has been here 7 years but only played 62 games. Chasing him home were the likes of @Super_Oli @cabbaz @Jscorgie & @Froozle. Incidentally, if these things matter to you, last night's Major is not showing on Sharkscope at time of writing.
The Mini Major went to the gnarled & grumpy veteran @Solack, who has won just about every MTT there is to win on Sky Poker in his 15 years here.
There was a proper ding-dong in the £5k BH, with @PRhack93 eventually getting home ahead of the plucky @Shrimpy28 with @StayOrGo in 3rd. Shrimpy had won MidEx the previous day (well, technically the same day) & has picked up around £1,000 in 24 hours, so a few more results like that & we might yet see him at SPT Brighton. Hope so, he's a fun guy & I like him a lot.*

Nice & busy last night, especially the late evening stuff. The exception was the new PLO jobbie which fell a few entries shy, despite a whole lot of noise about it on the Forum. Bit disappointing, but maybe it'll do better next week. And if it fails, so be it, better to have tried & failed & all that.
Anyway, it' Sunday, so a quick rattle through.
@jedinemo took the Main & with it 18 Head Prizes, so over 10% of the field. Has plenty of wins down the years in most of the Featured MTT's.
@Froozle missed all the early stuff but logged on at about 21.30 & late-regged for the Mini & went on to take it down. MBN.
It's been the best part of 3 months since @slickpoker played an MTT here but they showed up last night & took down the Mega, in which @claudel9 was 3rd & @tomgoodun 5th. That was a decent result for Tom as he won his seat in a £1.20 All-In satellite so a nice bit of profit.
Sheriff came in at £1,700, well above it's run-rate, & it was a great performance by @Richie_L to fend off @NChanning @destinycod @Curt360x27 @Ironpump1 & @tonyp142 respectively.
@destinycod was not to be denied though & later won the Quickdraw.
As noted earlier, the new PLO event narrowly missed guarantee, but it was played in great spirit, it was a pleasure to watch the table chat. @235467 took the win, he had an early lead, yielded it briefly to @Jessieak then surged well clear 3-handed. @DinoFerarr ended up 2nd with @Jessieak 3rd.
That'll have to do for today, but before I go, happy 70th birthday to @kidgirlgy who still holds the record for the biggest cash by a Sky Poker qualifier in Vegas, $36,000 if I recall correctly. Have a great day Sue.
