  I find this whole story extraordinary.
  
  I have sacked rather a lot of Chairmen/Directors of large Companies. And every single time I have taken steps to ensure the outgoing employees' silence going forward.
  
  A Compromise/Settlement Agreement. Whereby the outgoing employee receives money and/or notice pay and/or an agreed reference. In return for him not causing trouble on his way out. I know that. The Government Legal Service knows that. And would have advised Ms Badenoch as to the safe way forward.
  
  But this Government can't get anything right. Leaving this guy free to plant bombs under this Government. While his former boss (Badenoch) feels free to denigrate him in Parliament, and add a whole lot of stuff that was clearly not used at the time. It's just unwise to do this sort of stuff. With (of course) our money. As usual.
