I have the most fearful cold & "chest" so this will have to be brief today, so I can get back to bed & concentrate on feeling sorry for myself.
Poor MTT traffic again last night. Partly due to being just days from the end of the Monthly Deposit Limit cycle (they reset on Saturday), partly due to 5 big PL games, all of them on TV, & including immensely popular & entertaining teams such as Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool & Newcastle. Amongst the much smaller & less popular "bottom half" teams in action were the likes of Man U & Tottenham Hotspur although it's hard to use them as an excuse for poor online traffic, surely nobody watches them these days?
At the turn of the year @chalky666 told me he intended to really make an effort to do better this year & he's been true to his word. Last night he won the Main, was 2nd in a £500 BH, 5th in 9 @ 9 & 2nd in Reload. He's made a ton of Main Event FT's bit as far as I'm aware had never won one before. Has won no less than THREE UKOPS titles though, so he's clearly useful when he puts his mind to it. He'll be at SPT Brighton next week, for sure.
10 days or so ago @Vibes ran 6th in a Mini Sharpshooter since when we've not seen much of him, just 5 or 6 games but he showed up last night & won the Mini this time. In 6th was @esme180 who later in the evening won himself an SPT Brighton seat.
@loosecamelwas in imperious form in Sheriff, taking 10 of the 14 available head prizes, the other 4 being shared between @Awoken@PKRPar& @grinddd. Making the FT as, it seems is always the case, was Mr Channing @NChanning despite which he went home empty-handed from Sheriff, though he did wins some bits & bobs elsewhere - 6th in Mega, 4th in MidEx, 5th in a £400 BH - so at least he can put some food on the table to last him until financial reinforcements arrive from his Cheltenham Festivals punterings.
It's taken@ronnieg197 six months to play his last 100 games but he's had a win or two along the road & took last night's MidEx, the 2nd time he's won that. Other wins "lifetime" include a Hitman Main, a Mini Marksman & a Turbo.
@Bensons22 is making a great fist of completing a 2025 Featured MTT Bingo Card & has already crossed off the £800 BH, 7 @ 7, 9 @ 9, Reload & Mini & added Quickdraw last night. Very nearly won the Major last Sunday too, eventually having to settle for 3rd.
The only previous thread mentions for @Taz2K9 were for making the FT's of early evening BH's & he got his win last night in the £800 BH.
To be fair, I don't help myself. I felt it coming on on Monday but had plans for Tuesday so ignored it.
On Tuesday I started work at 05.30 as I had other things to do later. Then teed off at Noon for 18 holes at Breadsall Priory with 3 mates, & thanks to the glories of the Handicapping system my golf partner & I won front 9, back 9 & overall, so that was a free chip butty & pot of tea each in the local pub + £40 each (& bragging rights).
From there I drove the 60 miles to RICOH Coventry for the £250 (£220 +£30) entry GUKPT UK Open 4/5/6 Card PLO which started at 6pm, arriving just in time for the very first hand. It was 2am when I busted (min cash, £490) so around 03.15 when I arrived back home, then cooked my dinner & got to bed at about 4am.
Back up again at my usual time of 05.50 yesterday but that was when I started feeling really bad & eventually I had to go back to bed.

This day last year

Morning.

Quick shoutouts to @brucie1972 (1st in Reload) & @skippy1968 (1st in Turbo).
Just 42 entries for the PLO8, smallest number I can recall, with @Hawkinni booking the win.
Small field for the SPT Semi too, just 8 entries, with @esme180 winning his first seat & @tonyp142 his second.
That's it, I'm off to bed now, nursing the worst cold in the history of the planet. Because I'm a man, obv.
