This day last year
"It's been an odd week for MTT traffic, & for the 3rd time in 4 days the Main missed, though it was just a surface wound last night, £50.
The make up of the FT was quite unusual, lacking many of the usual suspects, & it was @Eastbeast who took top spot. Bit of an odd one really, is in their 14th year here but has played just 250 MTT's, of which only 3 were in the last 3 months, all of them 8pm "Mains". Until last night, biggest win was a late night fiver affair in 2011 which yielded £235. Last night's win? Just a few shillings shy of £1,100. Lovely job, well done @Eastbeast. Runner-up @peterk6621 won their seat in a £1.20 Frenzy, & turned it into £575, easily their best ever result here.
The Mini went to @paddytrini who is fast approaching 17 years on Sky Poker. I'm not 100% certain, but I think this was a PB. 2nd was @Card4Life with @spearsy136 in 5th.
The usually prolific @Natnug was 1st in Reload, and 2nd in both Sheriff & the PLO8. A decent night for most of us, but a thin night by his standards.
@NOSTRI had a great February but has not had much success this month until winning last night's Rebuy BH. To be fair, it was only his third night on site in March. Was hoping to see him in Brighton, but he was Billy Letdown.
@GFKIJKLL has dominated the 9pm slot the last few days, winning Summit on Tuesday & following up by winning last night's Sheriff. Hard to imagine a tougher FT, he was followed home in Sheriff by @Natnug @loololollo @Limp2Lose @StayOrGo & @PokaBayb9. Yikes.
@roughboy loves the 9 @ 9 & 1-tables it most nights, and he won it for the 4th time in as many months last night.
@Swifteyyeu won MidEx, the first time he's done so. Had a glorious 6 week spell last year, winning a big UKOPS in October (~£4,500) a Marksman Main 2 weeks later (£1,150) and a Turbo (£500) in early December.
Sadly, the new £400 PLO8 overlaid by quite a bit. Only £60, but that's a lot on a £400 guarantee. Winner was @katelli, who is clearly very handy at O8, as they also ran 3rd in the nightly £5.50 affair. Seems a perfect gent (or Lady) judging by their table chat.
Incidentally, in looking at the table chat in the £400 PLO8 I was much amused by one player who after he got rivered in a hand wrote that he detested "card chasing rats". Mate, it's Omaha, it's a drawing game..."

A tremendous night of CL football on TV so aggregate overlay in the featured events of some ~£250 was probably a bit of a result for Sky Poker.
You may remember from Tuesday the dominance of Arsenal, well last night on the poker front @Sharki0 was arguably just as dominant, winning FOUR featured MTT's - Main, Mega, Sheriff & MidEx, plus 5th in Turbo. Having won the Main he ran 9th in the Mini so nearly FTJ cash too. By any standards, that performance gets filed under crushage. Been here around 10 years & seems to be equally adept at both Cash & MTT's & might just be one of the most profitable players on the site.
Another player at the very peak of his form right now is @spearsy136 who won the Mini plus the £300 BH that started at 8pm. It's barely a week since he won the 19.10 £1k Rebuy BH on successive nights as well as a £150 BH. This is a player who knows what stakes he can beat & generally sticks to them - on a sample size of ~14,000 at an ABI of £7.36 he has a phenom 65% ROI. He does occassionally go for bigger buy-ins & has twice won the Sunday night £6k (now £5k) BH, as well as 2nd in both Avenger & Gold Rush Mains, plus an £11 entry UKOPS rebuy victory. A perfect Gent in the table chat boxes too, proof if needed that you really don't have to make mean & nasty comments to be a winning player.
March looks like being a splendid month for @davtherav who won last night's Rebuy BH having already finished 1st & 2nd in Megas, plus 3rd in Sunday's £5k BH. Very handy indeed & Sharky reckon he has a 55% ROI.
A very pleasing session for @wothef who won 7 @ 7 & was 4th in it's big brother, the 9 @ 9.
@GAZZARED had not played an MTT since finishing 8th in 9 @ 9 last Saturday, but returned last night & snatched the win this time.
@polo18 1-tables the Reload every night & his persistence paid off last night when he beat a tough FT to take the top spot.
In the Brighton Semi-Final, @peter27 won his 2nd seat & @cosmin55 his first.
In the Vegas Quarter, @bigfatfish won his semi-final; seat, while @madprof surprisingly won his second semi-final seat, so presumably got the cash. Who'd have thought?
