Masked Bloke here (you may need to enlarge to view properly) wears that scary Halloween mask all the time. Played here when we were here last year, wore it all of Day 1 & until he busted late in Day 2. Same again this time, wore the whole rig - mask, reflective shades, baseball cap pulled down - for the entire 2 days.
Sometimes he speaks but due to the mask all you can hear are sort of blurred mumblings.
I guess some folks take the game really seriously. Once he busts, the mask comes straight off & he seems a vey pleasant, well-adjusted guy. Decent player from what I can tell, too.
Managed to get a few (very bad) 'photos, bear with me whilst get them developed.
Anyone remember when we had to take camera film to Boots to get them developed, & they advertised "films developed in 7 days".
Youngsters don't know they've lived, do they?
LOL, thanks for all the hard work and the updates Tony. i recently got given 20 kodak envelopes full of pictures and negatives passed down to my daughter, sitting with the grandchildren looking at pictures of nannie and grandad and mummy, their faces were a picture. Why didn't you take these on your phone grandad ? asked Freddie ( he is six )
This mansplaining Gent is Andy Norman who is an old sparring partner of mine from back in the day. A PLO player almost exclusively, but now & then throws in a Hold Em MTT. He might just run deep today, he knows the score.
You won't be aware, but in October or November & after a 15 or 20 year break I resumed playing "Live", mainly at DTD but elsewhere too, & on almost my first attempt on November 13th he & I shared a UKIPT PLO Final Table.
This is Lappas - Mr Lappas to you - who is quite a character on the Brighton scene. Think he is one of about 73 cousins of Sam Razavi & between them they own a lot of Greek eateries in Brighton & beyond.
And if you've forgotten who Sam Razavi is, he might just be the player who has had most cashes in most countries in a single year. Look back around 10 to 15 years on his "Hendon" (below) & take a look, the bloke never stopped travelling & cashing.

I went to retrieve my car from the other car park & when I returned there were just 45 players left, & despite a frantic search that 45 does not appear to include @mumsie

GOOD LUCK everyone....esp. the SKY Players..... Charles @mumsie , Chris @chrisdonkb . and James @Sky__James .
It will be nice to learn some of the other SKY Players names as we go along
As I wandered off to get some 'photos I heard the familiar Raise/Reraise/All-in/Call in rapid staccato fashion, so clearly that's a big on big affair.
Hands are tabled, it's Aces v Queens.
Queens man, as calm as you like, says two odd things.
"Ha, KNEW he had the Aces".
"Not a problem, I'll hit my set."

Every time I walk past the table of @Sky_-James his chip stack seems to grow ever larger.
These two images were taken 5 minutes apart.
Remember Sam Ryder, the Eurovision bloke?
Well he's here & has made Day 2 in decent shape.
PS - It may actually be @Chalky666 who has improved immensely this year. Fun bloke, dodgy barnet.
Think we can file this under "what can you say?".

Life's rich tapestry & all that.
Lord @Shrimpy28 apparently seated to the left of Alfred Hitchcock.
I can't have preferences, but if he were to win this after that oh-so-brutal beat I put on him on Friday, it'd be the best thing ever.
Loads of peeps said I should have slowrolled him, but it was way too bad for that. Not sure I've ever played a more remarkable hand.
Out of who's left, who wouldn't you mind bubbling, and second question, why is it Shrimpy?
Smashing lad, very popular & personable, & does his job exceptionally well, although the chap to his left does not look greatly impressed.

Players have been on a 20 minute break (actually, it was 35 minutes for some reason) but play is now just about to resume.

He outlasted me - obv - & finished 2nd, by which time I was back home having finished 5th for £1,020.
All of which I suppose can be filed under a very long-winded "thin"....
I've just realised that the chap behind @Sky__James in this earlier 'photo (black top, English Rose RU motif) is none other than @mumsie
He's moved tables now, & has around 15 BB, so hopefully he'll find a spot soon.
Top top bloke.

I believe he (Sam) was "Asian Tour Player of the Year" FIVE times. Big mate of Mr Channing too.
Here's his wiki...

He has played in several SPTs. Thoroughly nice guy. Doesn't respond well to his nickname:-"flagw4nker"
Enjoying the updates

Sad face is in order.
Other recent departees seem to include Andy Norman & @Chalky666
40 players remain, with blinds at 4,000-8,000/8,000.
@chrisdonkb & @Sky__James both going along very nicely indeed, in the 300,000 to 400,000 region.
