You seem to be spending a lot of time perusing chatboxes atm sir. WAL indeed. All you say about the moanies is truly correct but I find it mildly entertaining when you wind them up like I do. Heh heh.
I really do find it truly astonishing that folks somehow get themselves in such a lather in £1, £2 & £5 affairs. It's a game, not a war.
My working life has been hard, combative & often stressful, so when I play poker this is my "fun time", I'm there to have a relaxing, enjoyable evening. Win or lose does not matter one iota, a successful evening's poker is judged by whether I've had some bants & craic, & a few ooh & aah sort of hands. It's a wonderful game, but it definitely exposes one's character, & it's easy to spot those who are not mentally strong enough.
I was thinking about this whilst playing last night. For me, the nut sweet spot in a poker MTT is when it reaches the last 25% or 30% of the field & I'm half average. It does not get better than that, every hand matters & & as we edge closer to the money spots we get those frequent shots of endorphins & adrenalin every time we play a hand, especially when we are "on the move" so to speak.
