It seems that the Government are going to step in & save British Steel which, despite it's name, is a Chinese-owned company.
I daresay they have their reasons, but basically, it does not matter how much money you throw at any given industry, "market forces" will prevail. And I'm sorry to say that whatever way you look at it, British Steel is a dead duck.

"I've been otherwise engaged all morning so this will have to be super brief.
Traffic was pretty good, and it was pleasing to see Sharpshooter Main coming in close to £6,500, which feels good for the time of year to me. The Vegas Quarter disappointed though, just 14 entries last night.
@Granite89 took that Main. You know all about him, won everything here there is to win including Vegas packages, SPT Vegas itself, & lots of UKOPS including 2nd in a £500 UKOPS for which he collected £7,500. Think he's a Doncaster lad - he speaks funny - but I could be wrong.
The Mini went to @saulocre08 and if I'm honest it was not an alias I recognized. A little digging unearthed some odd facts though, in the last month has won the Rewards Freeroll twice & the Sunday Major Freeroll once. No other results of note as far as I can see. I watched the FT for a bit last night & he certainly put the cat among the pigeons with his style of play. That's all I'm going to say.
Big clash in Sheriff where Pumpy @Ironpump1 got home ahead of runner-up @destinycod with @AlexaAj in 5th.
Playing their first MTT session for three months, the oddly-named @CreamOhand won Reload. It's been 2 years since they played MTT's regularly here, but did very well in 2022, winning a Mega, a Sheriff, & best of all, a hotly-contested Sunday Major. We don't see Sunday Major winners contesting Reload very often.
@Piggo1 has been AWIOL from MTT's for a few months until playing MidEx the last two nights, & grabbing 1st place last night.
The Usual Suspects were well in evidence, with wins for @bigfatfish @snoxx11 @hhammerhea @Froozle & @Woebegone.
Among the Vegas Quarter Final winners was @poppy765 who is bare keen to win a Vegas package, so good luck to poppy (& of course everyone else) in tonight's Semi.

As i saying with monotonous regularity, it's Saturday so this may be an exercise in brevity, as I have things to do. Gill is here for the weekend, we have Afternoon Tea booked for 3pm, & then it's Masters Golf on the telly all evening. WAL.
With one exception - somewhat surprisingly, 7 @ 7 which missed by 3 entries (£21) - there was zero overlay last night & MTT traffic was reasonable.
By way of a change, we'll start with something different today, something both inspirational & aspirational. Many of us have an inferiority complex at poker. Actually, in some cases, me included, it's not a "complex" at all, it's a fact. We are just not very good. And we gaze in awe as we see the same players winning & making FT's night after night, & we just sigh & say "if only I could do that".
Well take heart. One player who certainly fits in that category - "not very good" would be a polite way of putting it - showed us last night then we get get lucky, anything is possible. How about this for a bang average (on a good night) player with a Sharky rating of not much more than 50 when the poker Gods smile on them;

Still not guessed who it is? I'm not surprised at all. Congrats @goldnballz & enjoy it mate, as it'll be a while - like ever - before it happens again.
Elsewhere, Avenger Main went to, arguably, the most naturally gifted MTT-er we have here. @destinycod. He's the poker equivalent of, say, Jack Grealish in football, or (back in the day) John Daly in golf. Never practices, bit of a good-time Charlie, & yet seems to be able to just show up on the day & outplay everyone with zero effort. I shudder to think how much he'd win if he took it seriously, but I'm glad he does not, it's great to see someone treat poker for what it is - the great irrelevance.
In the Mini @steerer navigated his way to 1st place having won a Reload in February. Not his first Mini victory either, I recall him winning a Predator Mini a few years ago. 3rd was @extraman, the 1st & 3rd somehow being separated by THAT man again.
BWBH had THE most tough FT you'll likely see here in a long time, with @Alvez11 getting the win ahead of @ILIKE2FISH @Gambelo @Doooobs @Super_Oli & @Froozle respectively. Think if I made a FT with that lot I'd be on my knees begging for an ICM chop.
The £800 BH went to @penn09 and it seems that almost every cash he's had has been in either the Rewards Freeroll or the £800 BH, both of which are early evening affairs. Has been here some 15 years & I suspect he's around breakeven, so he's enjoyed 15 years of fun for free. How good is that?
@JBERGZ is a different kettle of fish altogether & has won everything there is to win, and added another Rebuy BH to his CV last night.
Mega went to @skunky1 who made the FT of 7 @ 7 on Tuesday, but best of all won a UKOPS last November.
For the 2nd time in as many months, Reload BH went to @ROBINAYR.
@M0mo69 is a cash game player who has been here 18 months & who very occassionally - just 39 times so far - ventures across to the dark side & plays an MTT, & last night it worked out nicely as he took down Turbo.
In Big Boy Watch, & apart from those already mentioned, @StayOrGo took Quickdraw with MidEx going to @Super_Oli.
In the Elim FR I noticed @MAXALLY was 3rd & now has 8 Head Prizes. All he has to do now to win that elusive Vegas package is take around 20 Head Prizes tonight & tomorrow. And if @goldnballz can cash 7 times in one sesh, anything is possible.
