Where are you off to for afternoon tea? I love an afternoon tea, done The Dorchester, Fortnums, The Landmark and maybe three or four others. Never managed The Ritz for some reason.

We went to Morley Hayes which is a Golf & Restaurant complex up here in Derbyshire, it's our "local" so to speak.
We are like you, Afternoon Tea is our thing, we've done a similar list to you - Fortnum & Mason (loved the pianist), The Wolseley (right next to the Ritz), Cafe Royal, The Dorchester, & last month, The Goring (below), which is the last big family-owned Hotel in London I believe.
Afternoon Tea is ridic expensive on a "material" basis, but it's an occasion, & you can't put a price on wonderful memories.
Incidentally, mention of The Dorchester, I can't recall if it was The Dorchester or The Grosvenor House Hotel (it was definitely on Park Lane) where you kindly invited me to the Peter O'Sullevan Awards many years ago. Sadly, my memory is now so bad I can't recall who won it that year? I do remember it was a lovely lunch in great gambling company, as guests of, err, my memory has failed me again... (Sporting Bet?, Sporting Index?)
This might be a clue, but I still can't remember. Sir Henry Cecil maybe, so 2012, or perhaps more likely, Martin Pipe in 2013?
