@GFKIJKLL returned after being MIA since Saturday, which is probably bad news for the MTT pool as he won Hitman Main, was 2nd in Mega & 4th in 7 @ 7, & in addition, made two other small FT's. Surprisingly, he never won a Main in April, but he did win Quickdraw (3 times), Turbo & 7 @ 7. Runner-up was @greg1974 who tends to have done well in late night stuff down the years - Turbo, Quickdraw & MidEx etc. In 6th was @DUTCHESS62 who won Monday's 7 @ 7 & Tuesday's Mega & has been doing well of late.
The Mini went to @pppaws55 who was playing only their 5th MTT here since January. Been here 12 years but very low volume, just ~400 MTT's in 12 years. No previous significant form as far as I can tell. Welcome aboard Pawsy.
On Tuesday & Wednesday the Elim Freeroll was won on both nights by @baxter21, & with well over 200 entries each night that really was an impressive effort, but it was back down to earth for @baxter21 last night as he failed to make the Top 100. He still leads the leaderboard by a very long way though, & rather like a racehorse 10 lengths clear 2 furlongs from home, the question is, can he hold on? Last night's winner was a terrific effort too, with @EBBERDONwho is about my age, taking 1st place. 2nd was @MrSandman (bring me a dream (bung, bung, bung, bung ) with the wily @jessieak, who was so unlucky in Sunday's Vegas Final, in 3rd & @leeahick26in 5th.
In the Vegas Quarter, seats went to @SPTpaul@mclean1057& @MARBLEFLAW although the last named was a dupe, as he booked his semi-final seat on Wednesday. £9.40 in loose change found it's way to @madprof who will no doubt re-invest it in another Quarter Final.
That's all for today I'm afraid. The Bank Holiday weekend looms, so have a good one."
The combination of a beautiful sunny evening & what promised to be - & in fact was - a thrilling CL Semi-Final was always going to be a headache for online poker operators & Sky Poker were no exception, with aggregate overlay of £1,029 from 8 different events.
A quite unusual looking Main Event FT with 1st place going to @jupitersun who has been here since 2015 & never before appeared in these threads. To be fair, very low volume until recently, just over 200 MTT's total, and these days only sems to play the £33 Mains. In 6th was @snoxx11 which was the same finishing position he had in Mega, then he was 4th in Turbo & had a deep Reload run, 19/164.
Winner of the Mini was @Rashnikov which sounds like either a classical music composer or a machine-gun, it could even be a Russian gentleman, Viktor Rashnikov who is a billionaire many times over & owns his own private yachts & private jets. Probably not though... Anyway, whoever he is or isn't, he does OK here & has won 3 different Mains (Avenger, Marksman & Hitman) as well as finishing 2nd in a 2023 Sunday Major. On Tuesday @MAXALLY ran 5th in the Mini & was just 2 spots shy of making the FT again last night.
@Natnug was up to his old tricks last night, with wins in Sheriff, Turbo, a £300 BH, a Vegas Quarter, a Main Event sat, a Sheriff sat, + a few small FT's. He's irritatingly good.
@Augusta48 signed up just two weeks ago & secured his maiden win last night by taking the £800 BH, having played less than 50 MTT's so far. Bubbled a Reload FT a few days again too. An interesting alias (@Augusta48) perhaps named after the 1948 Augusta Masters which was won by Claude Harmon who scorched home by 5 strokes & earned himself $2,500. Claude's son, Butch, earns more than that for a 30 minute golf lesson, as does Butch's son Claude Jnr, who is presumably named after his Grandpa, as it's hard to imagine any other reason for naming a child "Claude".
@Mohican 1-tabled his way to 1st place in the 7 @ 7. Previous notable online successes include 1st places in a 2014 Mini Roller & a 2021 Avenger Main. Far & away his most notable poker achievement though was 5th place in the 2016 Sky Poker UKPC at DTD for which he collected a cool £40,000. For a quick quiz to see if anyone is paying attention, this 'photo was taken at that event, can you name the famous sportsman in it?
Just a few days after winning Monday's Mini, @kevywevy17 was at it again, this time taking the Rebuy BH.
An astounding performance by @Tempestide to win Mega for the second night on the spin, in both cases against tougher than usual oppos. 3rd was@billtackle who has already registered wins in 9 @ 9 & Mega in the last week.
It may well be argued that the efforts by @deviantjok were even more impressive, as he took down the Reload for the 2nd straight night. Reload takes a lot of winning with folks happy to gamble with Rebuys at £3 a throw, and in his last 3 entries in Reload he's finished 1/164, 1/153 & 10/175. Goodness me.
9 @ 9 went the way of @STEW5471 who has a decent mixed portfolio of wins for which Sharky give him an 81 rating.
@alandutch who seems to do well in late night stuff won Quickdraw just 24 hours after finishing 4th in Turbo.
MidEx went to @longjob who has been AWOL most of the month although he did manage 6th in a Quickdraw last week.
Think that's enough - arguably much more than enough - for today.
