Will you allow regular alias name changes? Say every 3-6 months? I know other iPoker skins allow this. Allowing name changes will prevent players/stables gathering big samples of data on hands, play style, etc. This will me more of an issue if wanting to play the global pool within Sky client.

iPoker allow alias changes every 6 months I believe as well as on first log in which we cannot disable.

Should pin a thread or update OP with the specific date of the change over and any important details, because my memory sucks and i've forgotten most of it already.

    @Sky__James @Tikay10

.....or any of the guys'n'gals who were at SPT Glasgow @aynaricol @johnmonty etc.

Is there any News on the next SPT ?

I know it normally becomes 'known' at the SPT that has just gone.

.....and also where will we be able to see Announcements about Future SPT's ?

will it just be a case of keep looking on the Promotions tab (if there is one ) ?

    Cheers

    1. I use the Chrome web browser on a Mac laptop to play at skypoker.com
    2. I've rarely experienced any technical/connection issues.
    3. I typically play the No Limit Hold'em £200 Deep Stack Tournament at 7.15pm for £2.20 I usually join an hour later towards the end of late registration at around 8.15pm, typically there are around 60-100 other players left in the tournament at this time with a max of 6 per table.
    4. After registration at this time I get 5000 chips with 10 minute blinds at around the 50/100 level so I often play plenty of hands and can lose a chunk of my stack but still have a reasonable chance to recover as blinds are still relatively small. It's possibly the main reason I like this game.
    5. I do not play any other games at the same time i.e. I do not multi table.
    6. I use the table options so that I always sit in the same relative seat (just above the action buttons) and can set the alert volume independently of my laptop volume. I turn chip sounds etc off. I choose the 4 colour deck and auto muck hands. I choose the default sky table layout and my favourite avatar. Other than the alert volume I never change these options.
    7. I have 20 seconds to decide my action at each turn before I am auto folded.
    8. If I time out I auto fold each hand until I click the 'I am Back' button.
    9. I use the 'Fold' in advance button to set my fold action before my turn.
    10. The "Your Hand" text in the middle of the table tells me my current hand value which I find useful as sometimes I haven't realised when I have hit a straight or flush, conversely there are times when I think I have hit but it shows I am mistaken. Yes honestly it happens.
    11. I view the 'Game Info' tab to keep track of my overall tournament position.
    12. If I'm getting close to the cash I open the lobby to see the positions that will cash and the stacks of my other table opponents.
    13. Once down to the last 2 tables and if I am confident of progressing (often fatally) I occasionally open the other table to observe the play there.
    14. If I am lucky enough to get to the Final Table then finish time is typically around midnight so around 4 hours playing time for me.
    15. I don't use the chat much these days (I found some people got what I felt was overly abusive, not to me especially but I now avoid it)
    16. I rarely play other game types. Occasionally small stakes DYM (streak week), very occasionally a bounty hunter tournament.
    17. In the Account section I use the monthly 'Up by'/'Down by' breakdown to keep an eye on how I'm doing.
    18. If I'm lucky enough to win some cash I can withdraw £10 or more at any time.
You'll find that ipoker has all of these basic features you listed here plus a few more. When you first log in have a look in the settings for the different options such as avatar and table layout.
Your favourite Deep Stack tournament will be part of the Sky Exclusive schedule too so hope to see you over there.
Thank you for the reply. Good to hear that the change will be look and feel only and no change to any of the other items I listed; ie. the games, game play and Account management.

Some previous comments, which I guess were unfounded, suggested it was going to be very different such as much longer playing time/late registration periods etc so thanks for clarifying.

ipoker gives you access to tournaments which are available on ALL ipoker skins and these are the tourneys which have crazy long late reg periods. The Sky Exclusive games will be similar if not the same to how they are now (but assuming with antes etc)

Provided it's clear which ones are SKY games, it should be ok.

I'd be tempted to shove "SE" in front of every Sky Exclusive game so it's clear.

Thanks Jez, we should be back in Manchester later this year, maybe November but not finalised a date yet. We'll have a Sky Poker Tour promo page up all year on the new site.

We have a Sky Exclusive tab and then sub tabs for Cash, tournaments etc. You can also filter by currency to only show £ games.

@Sky__James can you confirm what the rake will be on the Sky exclusive cash tables - both the percentage and cap please?
  • gixxerk4gixxerk4 Member Posts: 229
@Sky__James Hi James apologies if this has been answered but when we move forward to i-poker will there still be a rewards freeroll or equivalent and also the sunday major freeroll or again equivalent.
I really hope that moving forward this is a great success for sky and all that work there but I have to admit that from a personal point of view the loss of the forum and possibly more importantly the loss of the chat function will work hugely against you moving forward as one of the things that for myself (and I am sure I speak for a lot of regulars)that kept me always playing on sky and made it unique in many ways was the strong community side on the site.
I fear that with the loss of that sky will become just another i-poker skin and people will move elsewhere or as many have said stop altogether.
Is there any possibility of a chat function?
To all the forum regs that I have played with all the best for the future .
I have joined this discord thing so hopefully see some of you there.
    Good luck,
    Alan

Hi, to add to the questions above in regards to rake and promos/freerolls... could you confirm what the rake will be for dyms please? Also on the page which gives the details in regards to the move to ipoker it says we'll be offering bigger prizes, better promotions. Can you provide any details on what the promotions will be? Can we expect to see similar promos of old like premiership rake race? Streak week? Spin up rake race and eliminator freerolls?

    Cheers

Can we get an idea what the Sky exclusive mtt schedule will look like please? Even if it's not finalised, would be nice to have an idea what it will look like

I'll share the schedule next week.
Are we still going to get this preview of the schedule before the move?
