Yeh but this time u didnt open shove preflop. U did the right thing and made a proper raise.

So instead of winning the blinds, you got all your money in as a big favourite.

This will work out better for you if you keep doing it this way.

Hi Dohh

In true poker parlance you might be right.

But Lucky was ahead before flop and if he had bet all in preflop as he normally does he would probably have won.

I got fed up raising pre flop and then losing on flop with aa, kk etc so I play the old Lucky77777 way, ie all in pre flop. It sometimes stops people going all in against you and avoids some of the maniac calls and bad beats from this wonderful site.

It might not be right but it feels better when you lose.

LOL, he defo is right, suck up the bad beats and raise properly it will in the long run enhance your chances of winning tournaments. What happens if the Jack doesn't fall, a healthy double up which is what will happen more often than not.

well done lucky thats exactly what you should do with aces not shoving pre you miss so much value!!! unlucky but played it fine went in massive fave usually you would have just taken the blinds had you just gone all in but correct move

must admit lucky ,i play it like you, try and get 1 caller for value and shove post. bug g g e r me backwards with a sharp thing when it goes wrong ,but got to get paid somehow. ps is it too early to start drinking after shock!

With aa and that flop Lucky was always going to go all in and what happened he lost.

Seen it so many times with aa

I will continue to take my chances with a race from the off and hope I get a caller pre flop.

So you'd rather shove and pick up 120 chips from the blinds?

If you shove and get called, you still have a chance of getting sucked out on.

There's a clip on youtube of an amateur shoving on Negreanu in the early stages of a big tournie when the blinds are still tiny and Negreanu says, "You're all in? What's that about?"

The amateur replies, "That's poker."

"Not where I come from." responds Negreanu, and folds his hand.

Moral of the story - get paid with your aces!

jingle they say fet your chips in good and you cant get no better than aa if you get called you can only be unlucky

if you raise 5times big blind like i did on this accasion and lost cos i let him hit to be able for him to call cos if got top pair out

but allin preeflop i dont think he would of called there for i would of still had 13,575 and on to the next hand

i decided to only raise to prove a point and i have proved it dont limp with aces your get stung
