The end of SPT satellite qualification?

With the new sky poker priority club up and running, it appears that those members can now pick up the phone, and receive direct entry into any live SPT event direct. If only 150 of these new sky poker priority players do this, where will that leave the rest of the skypoker community? On a lighter note I also notice that sky rudolph is entered into the Newcastle SPT on 8th Jan, do they allow animals (except guide dogs) in casinos?

Maybe they should cap it to say 20-30 seats on a first come first serve basis for those PC members. That would still leave over 100 seats for sat entries.

Agreed Greg, I think SkyPoker should re-assure us that a MINIMUM of 100 seats will be available through Sateliites.

I personally have no problem with a priority club, give 25% extra and special tournies with other priority club members etc etc, i just think its a bit unfair to allow direct buy so they can fill all the seats with priority club members thats all.

Their would not even be 100 players in the priority club I don't think.

99% of these will be cash players and maybe 5 will actually attend the spts so don't worry

already been here today all you get is play more if you want to get rewarded

     poor poor poor promo

stt/mtt reg here every day get nothing for there loyalty

ow sorry we get the freerolls
the mid and high cash players might make you more per table but its also your stt/mtt players that keep you going more

might be indanger of pushing those players to other sites to play there games

if you are going to do it why not do it as a whole and have a vip club
    do it in levels

    level 1 freerolls  0 pts - 500 pts
    level 2 300 freeroll  501 pts - 1000pts
    level 3 500 freeroll  1001 pts - 2000pts
    level 4 750 freeroll  2001pts - 4000pts
    level 5 all above and 5%cfp bonus 4001pts - 6000 pts
    level 6 all above and 10% cfp bonus 6001pts - 10000pts
    level 7 what sky got

be a bit better rewards for others
    just a thought

At an estimate there will only be between 30-40 players within Priority Club and of which only 7-8 players would have an interest to BI direct to a SPT event (not counting the SPT Grand Final at DTD) so I doubt this issue is of much concern tbh

I can honestly think of about 10 people MAX, that rake 10kpcm, who would actually have any interest in buying in direct to an individual SPT leg. And even then they don't all attend the same events. For geographical reasons etc..

Also remember they aren't being given free seats. They are still parting with £100 or so to enter.

EDIT: Also remember sky leave about 30 or so seats each leg to allocate to people for various reasons. Those who are eligible and do buyin will probably be taken from this seat allocation.

    What lewis says,

For those of you that attend the sky poker tours - think of how many of the "big" hitters actually attend these things on a regular basis.

Dantb10 - Team sky - attended them all anyway
Nutter5932 - attended them all anyway
Gliterbabe - Team Sky - attended them all anyway
    BrownnDog
    ChirpyChip
    ljamesl - Team sky
    Mickjenn1- attends them all to
    Stoneface
    Jakally does the occasional one
    cottlad
    beaneh

I can't think of many that will rake 10k + and want to attend these events. It wont change much at all

They put em all in for free anyway.

Was watching a table once where they were all taking the p1 s s out of 1 guy for attempting one of the sats.

He obv didn't know he cud get in for free, but prob does now.

Bandini should get in to em all free imo for his efforts on a friday/saturday night :)

If this is true i think its well out of order! yes they will have 'celeb' packages to promote the site but if they are putting all the high volume players in for nowt while all the other mugs are playing and paying for sats thats just plain wrong. Are you sure about this dohhhhhhh?

    Yeh.

If I was ever interested in going to a SPT thingy I'd make a big deal about it - especially as it would cost me 200 quid trying to qualify as I suck at sats.

Of course they will give big hitters free seats, its just another perk.  Could you imagine someone going to a vegas casino with $100 and asking for comps.  They would be laughed outa town.
The wales however, wud probs get picked up from airport in a stretched hummer, with 3 honeys in the back, champagne on Ice, and a room with a grand piano in it ffs.  Its the same thing here but on a smaller scale.

Also, even if it wasnt for priority club, I wouldnt play sats to spt events.  I played one once and qualified, but couldnt go in the end, but found out afterwards ppl were buying in on the day, so I would just turn up, if it was full so be it, I would just get smashed, play cash, spt stt`s etc, still be a good day/night I`m sure.

Do you realise how much we pay in rake every month. Its thousands literally, no way of knowing how much exactly but at a guess must be like 6 to 8 grand a month at least. I usually get a couple back through cash 4 points. So I cant see that there is anything wrong with sky offering me a free £200 donkament entry every few months.

i earn over 10k points and have no interest in buying in directly unless worst comes to worst and i failed in the sats and there were only a few places left, why pay £110 when i could qualify for £24.

Well Said hursty some of the other benefits are more worthwhile but as someone who will never get to 10k point this does not affect me or 99% of sky's players but that 1% of players putting alot of money in to the sky rake
