As with anything in life you only get out what you put in, its a simple equation. With OP current attitude he has got no chance.

Yes but just because he has no motive to secure a job and relies on his mum at the age of 19 does not conclude that he treats all things he has a passion for with the same attitude. Do all of you love washing the dishes or cutting the grass? Because if you dont you'll never make it in poker!? His attitude to his mother and the workplace has little or no linear relationship relative to his ability to learn and play poker, although it may not help. Im sure if he has a desire to succeed in poker he will focus and strive as will anyone who believes they know how they want to spend their time. Obviously, it would be a good idea to gain some form of work experience or education simultaneously to playing poker. If not, let him proceed to make his own mistakes hes 19 if all fails he is not going to drop dead.

Gl in what u do but tbh I can't believe the way Iv seen students brag about living off the state and your parents. That's pathetic and as a young person I think it's embarrassing u have no ambition to better yourself, students have the reputation of job dodging and never lifting there weight and that's why. Is that all u want to achieve in ur life? Bragging about doing nothing.

Also u love in a country where you have so many opportunities like uni, courses, college etc and your just not gonna bother to achieve anything, madness IMO. Gl in whatever u do.
