Man U and 2013/4 : £100 minimum bet, i would save your money bell, your a smart man and we both no manchester united will not finish outside of the top 4 next year, they could put my grandma in charge next year and they would still finish in the top 4. david moyes is a good manager although he wouldnt have been my first choice!!!

I'm sorry to say The appointment of David Moyes will lead to the end of his career in the Premiership!
I used to be a regular at Preston when he was manager, they gained promotion from the 2nd - Championship and made significant progress in both cup competitions. But at the end of the day no major silverware!
He's done the same at Everton plenty of good results, but no silverware!
He's a bit like Dandy Nichols / Ian Williams / MD Murphy getting the best from horses beyond their prime!
    Man United
are a totally different kettle of fish, They want new young talent, not recycled talent!
United are loyal and look after their staff so I'll give him eighteen months before he's on the scrapheap and Ferguson comes out of retirement!

I'm not that smart but thanks for the nice unexpected compliment! If I knew 100 per cent that u culd have 50k in ur account and sky could hold this over them it's one hundred percent a goer. I k ow ur a man of money as per some of ur other posts do if ur able to get over 50k in and we can get this arranged then we can happily arrange to stake more ! Cos for 500/1 it's a no brainer for me! There was a local Irish bookie not long retired remember an article in local paper askin him most memorable bets he laid and he said (this is true by the way!) he had some guy who had a 'tip' that ELVIS was still alive and staked £1500 on it (and this was late 80's /early 90's) the odds he was given ??????????  66-1  hahaahahahahahahahahaahahahahahahahaahhaahahahahahaha

I will have a say in this now, i am not a man utd fan and hope they do slip up,  but this is fergusson's last signing and i think will be his best yet.  The reasons why i say this:  firstly at least utd have not gone down the foreign wannabe route (nuff said), Moyes has done wonders at everton, and most important you have a manager on a very long term contract of 6yr's.

If fergusson was worried about moyes. he would not of signed him to take over (we all know this was not a man utd choice but fergussons last wish/signing)

You dont moan about the players he has signed so why worry now,  give Moyes a chance he WILL prove you wrong,  mybe not europe next year but league I THINK SO, and might get a better price now for them to win league too.

    Theres my rant over lol

p.s  please check the PLO8 thread,  NEW WEEKLY LEAGUE with prizes, and TIKAY will be playing IF FIT.

They're streets ahead of the others.

Prem needs Mourinho back, hopefully he returns and Chelsea challenge next season.

Worst United can do is 3rd.

    They were!!!

How many times over the last two years have everybody been saying how can Man Utd finish so high up they are not playing well !!!, they haven't got the players, they rely too much on Van Persie etc etc

Well the reason has been Fergie and his will too win and the players wanting to do it for him, they are his players. If they give him time I think Moyes will be successful however with the current squad it wont be immediate.

I have no axe to grind over Man U , in fact they were my team in days of Law, Charlton and Best, I am just trying to be objective and think what happened after Busby left could happen all over again. Remember they were relegated within 6 years of that!!!

Didnt say that mate just said if Van Persie gets injured then they will struggle even more with Fergie missing.

I am not a Man Utd hater just think they have done **** well last two seasons not playing teams off the park and with Fergie going they will struggle next year. If I am wrong I will hold my hands up. If I am right I will laugh all the way to the bank, if I can get decent odds from those bookie fellows.

Problem is now Man City trying to mess themselves up for next year as well.

mate i respect alot you say when it comes to gambling but this statement is borderline insane, man utd as a club move on and will continue to win trophies, even though the bookies have moyes allready in the old trafford changing room i wouldnt rule out jose getting the job, who ever gets the job will be a top manager anyway and man utd will continue to be the number 1 team in england!! if i new how to lay bets i would give you 500/1 on man utd being out of the top 4 next season

I dont think they will finish outside the top 4, but those odds are too good to miss.

Can I please book £10 with you.

I have to lol @ you putting down Liverpool to come 3rd next year Vaigret. If there's one team that are in general on the way down, then it's them. They are embarrassingly inconsistent and for years now have not managed to get through a season without at least 1 long period of just shocking results.

I'll definitely take bets on them not being top 4 next year.

Bet the PC regs can't guess who you support ;)

fwiw I agree Liverpool will be top 4 next season.

Mainly because Arsenal r regressing, Spurs will lose Bale and Everton will obv decline too.

Process of elimination means Lpool get 4th!

    Hi

I loathe Liverpool, two of my sons support them and my experience of that city has been far from good, however Rogers will now take them forward. Next year suarez and sturridge will get it together and Countinho is a class player just behind the forward line. Ok they have got to buy a good goalkeeper and about four others but look where they finished this year after having a bad season. They will be there or thereabouts UNFORTUNATELY

He will be given a fair chance bazzer , he will be there next season as well when they might come good again, howver he has no chance of turning them round this season and I still think my bets are safe.
