In Response to Re: Yet another 'new PC' thread. : I preferred the Windows 1 GUI if I'm honest. 1980's GUIs roolz. 8's GUI can be tweeked to look like 7's. I don't mind 7's now I've got used to it. But you're right about the AIDS thing. Except you could delete the "8" from that sentence.

    looool xactly.

I run windoze 7 and have it in classic look so it looks as oldschool as possible.

I dont want a fake attempt at an apple layout, nor do I want a mobile phone interface on my desktop computer.

    windoze gonna doze.

I,m happy with my computer after buying a new hard drive recently but  all i,m after is getting more than 4 tables on one screen which is the current limit on mini view whether its through my 21 inch monitor or my 32 inch TV.

I don,t have a seperate graphics card on my computer but am prepared to buy one if it will give me a better screen resolution which i think is what i need to get the extra tables on one screen

Currently on my 32 inch TV and the highest resolution i can get is 1360 x 768. It starts at 800 x 600

Is it just a case of buying a decent graphics card?

(was going to post on "community advice" but i culd be waiting ages for a response. any help appreciated

you want a monitor NOT A TV

tvs have less good resolution, and the resolution it can run at not the physical size is what limits the number of tables you can get on.

you want up around 1920x1080 rather than the smaller resolutions imo.

graphics card doesn't have to be a gaming one just has to have enough ports for the number of monitors you are wanting to run.

when you but a new monitor, check what resolution your graphic card supports.
Then find a monitor that can display the resolution.

    i3
    dedicated graphics card
    4GB RAM
    wireless networking
    windows 7
