There was blood on the walls last night, I got proper beaten up, worst night I can recall in an age, lost a bomb, woe is me, bla bla bla.

But we don't want to hear that, do we?

This photo (below) suddenly appeared on another forum this morning. It was the name of a Team of my friends (?) in the 2009 WSOP "Dream Team" thing.

Feel free to mock, all of you.

Except Macac, of course, who described this Diary as "Miserable old g it talks about concrete".

No need, no need at all for all this abuse.

    I'll post yesterday's numbers now.

With any luck, Vespa's photo of his head scaffold will divert attention away from my own little accident.....

Well at least it was consistent - lost at every level!

Ended up winning just 11 of 30.

The temptation is to blame variance, but hard to lose that many in one night & not do something wrong. Just seemed to lose every 60-40, even when I dominated both ends, I still managed to find ways to lose. Towards the end, I'm pretty sure my game suffered, too, I started getting all nitty & defensive.

Started off with a purler, when I flopped a boat on a 7-4-4 flop, I had the a pair of 7's AND the 4, BOOM. Matey Boy (who did nothing wrong, I might add), had the case 7, with an ace. Turn & river came running Aces, pfft. Awesome stuff!

Anyway, no point chuntering, it's done now, & I have 5 days left to get back into profit, & avoid my first losing month. I'm 'rolled ok to stand a night or two like that, but for those on thin bankrolls, that has to hurt a bit.

Had a GREAT game against Hotty, jod67, & another chap, £11er & we got to 400-800. That was one of the 2 @ £11 I won. Don't think we need to discuss the 6 I lost.....

Joddy is a great lad, Glasweigan I believe. Does not play conventionally, fold equity & stack sizes, or "big stack v big stack" never bothers him, he just plays most every hand, limpy limpy cally cally. Fearless, utterly fearless, & I love playing against him, as he is a real test. Anyway, he must have got the lot last night, good luck to him.

    See you later.

The £1,400 threshold? Can't even see it now, it's way over the horizon. The £1,300 line is more of a worry now. ;)

Breaking news......live from the Mirage Hotel Las Vegas

An unknown female entered the 11.00 am $60 tournament with 29 runners with 4 getting paid, she hung on til the final table of 10 where she proceeded to knck out several players with three left she is chip leader. On the button she raises with AK dd gets re raised by the sb who is 2nd chip leader shortie folds, the unknown female from Rochdale (or is it Bury?) tanks not knowing whether to call raise or fold, she flat calls, flop comes k high sb shoves and the female calls he shows A Q, she wins a humongous pot and is now heads up with the shortie, meanwhile the father is texting the daughter saying mother is hu. The shortie cheekily asks for a chop, the female gives a little chuckle and he says 'thought not' he then says all in the female looks at her cards sees 44 and calls he turns over AQ he hits nothing on flop turn or river, before the father can finish his text the mother has won $600 in her first poker game in Las Vegas!!!

sorry to hijack your thread Mr K but can't stop smiling

    Wonderful news, well done Mother!

You must be a better player than The Daughter, imo.

For those not familiar with Vegas, note the time that Tourney started - 11am!

In Vegas, MTT's start every hour of the day, all 24, you can ALWAYS find a game starting somewhere, even at 2am or 3am. It's like Online poker live.

Very well done Mother, & if you get chance, please keep us updated with further stories from Vegas - you have a lot of friends here.

This is the Mirage Hotel, where Mother is currently staying.

In the foreground, that is part of the Venetian Gondola Canal, with the replica "St Marks Campanile" (the big sticky up tower), on the left, & The Mirage is the other side of the famous Strip.
