Ooh, quick PS - great to hear "Spanners" Vespa is now out of hospital. Once he hurts a little less, can't wait to hear how all that happened. What price alcohol may have featured?........;)

    Spot on Tony
Too much of the amber nectar was a major factor.
But contrary to popular belief I didn't fall off a scooter.
Was doing some "dad dancing" and decided to show off my moves on the patio of the bar.
Stepped onto a wall about 18" high lost my footing and as they say the rest is history.
Struggling to sleep at the moment as the head brace is very uncomfortable but the pain killers are helping.
Have a few funny stories of my stay in hospital which I will relate at a later date.
Looking forward returning to the tables.

    oooh, thats better.

Won at all 3 levels, & turned in acceptable numbers, phew.

Bit frustrating to lose my last game of the night @ £11, which resulted in a £20 swing the wrong way, pah!

I ended the session early, as I was a bit under the weather again, but I'm in fine fettle today, so fingers crossed for a decent session tonight.

The last game, the £11er, was a cracking game, but I made a dubious decision which, ultimately, turned out to be wrong.

4 of us left, all decent players, all know the score.

    Stacks were (approx) 6,000, 3,000, 2,000 (me) & 1,000.

Shortie button shoves for 700 mof his 1,000, so he ain't passing, I am in the BB with K-K-3-2.

I rerally prefer to be the aggressor than the caller, I am sure I can "win" this game, & I loathe going to war in PLO8 without an ace. Aces are MASSIVE in PLO8.

But I sort of talked myself into calling, as my K-K-3-2 has emergency insurance if an Ace falls, as I probably get the low. I reckoned he had a big ace, & decided to take my chance. He had A-Q-x-x, so I got my read correct.

The A flopped, but no low arrived, so that was that. I sort of think the play was right, but it's a close one. Anyway, that left me in desperation mode, & it was not to be. Poo (official).

Yes, I seem to be running bad or playing bad in the £5.50's, & are losing them by the shedload. Winning the Game Count in the £5.50's felt like a win. ;)

    I did it again last night - played 9 @ £5.50, & lost 6 of them!

    Hi Gary.

As previously noted, most nights I start at around 5pm with one or two tables, then as more traffic arrives, I go up to 6 or 7 tables.

Not much fun railing me though, I pass most stuff early doors, & rarely play and hands until we get 4 handed. That's when the aggro pedal comes into play.

Always happy to chat, but once I get 4 tables or more, you'll need to be patient, as I struggle a bit to chat when I have 3 or 4 Tables on the go.

Very quiet night last night, traffic seemed very sparse, & I gave up early, as I prefer to have 5 or 6 Tables going. No action at all @ £11, and I somehow kept losing all the fiver jobbies.

The last hand of the night was a purler, when I re-potted an aggro opener with good aces, & he snapped me with the old 3-3-6-7, & had me all wrapped up on the flop, another fiver down the swanee, lol. There is a momentary "what on EARTH?" sort of thought when you first see a play like that, but that's insta-followed by the realisation that we want these plays all day & night. "

Anyway, lost just shy of £10, which is not exactly a get rick quick scheme.

So, last day of the month, I have a paltry £10 of profit (plus Reward Points), & I could well be facing my first ever monthly loss since I started this challenge thing if I have a bad 'un tonight.

Ooh, the tension, it's like the closing line in The Archers.

But Phil, we are out of salt & onion crisps, what shall we do?

Dum de dum de dum de dum, dum de dum de dum dum.....

Now, I must sadly bring a serious matter to your attention.

As you must realise by now, I hold MOTHER in high regard, right up there with the likes of CTBN.

She has a reputation for having a very solid opening range, & I always - ALWAYS - respect her raises.

Last night, however, all was revealed, when MOTHER shoved & got looked up. Villain had A-2-K-K, & we KNOW he must be in trouble, MOTHER's range - sorry, perceived range - here is A-A-2-3 MINIMUM.

Imagine the hurt I felt, the betrayal of respect, when she turned over.....
