The bickering has to stop now, Whether you me or anyone has a problem with the selection process and think it was fair or not is now irrelevant. The players who have been chosen are all capable and deserve the best wishes of everyone. Arguments at this stage will only serve to distract certain players and that IS unfair. All members should allow them a level playing field from this point onward, and let's hope the best man wins. Anyone who feels they should have been chosen can prove their point by qualifying via a satellite, and make their point thereafter. Let's all get in the right mood for this, please! Posted by elsadog
First night nerves were evident tonight as the first 6 TP'ers had to adjust to the rules set out by skypoker hq, some had to get used to just 4 tabling rather than 12 and others had to adjust to sitting with a full pull up of "just"50 nikka. So we as a team decided to slide in gently with some dym's beofre the compu;lsory main event at 8pm, Nick "pryce6" was going great before his AK got busted by AQ he was up to 8k at this point, he went back to grind some more dym's and showed his strength of charchter by patiently cashing in the first one after the ak dissapointment, 5 dyms and 2 cashes but first night over and hes ready for tommorow, watch out for him in the 8pm main event tommorow ! Now Jac[loves a chat] mathews playing as yippeeyappee, he told me he was "gonna tear up the tables" , he said he was desparate to win this and he was gonna show me, and he did! . he terrorised the cash tables whilst protecting a small bank roll he ended up £183, nice work. Tough night for one of the most wellknown players at Skypoker, Wayne the gliterbabe, bubbled in 3 of his 5 stts but showed his vast expierience on the cash tables by playing considerably lower than usual and turned in a small profit, we know hes got great game and tommorow im sure we may see a very late finish in the main event, hes playing well , just needs a break. next 3 on there way. That's a great summing up of the evening Ed. Thank you very much.
currently sat in car outside neighbours house frezzing me nuts off, **** internet has crshed at home so im cyber pinching and my tp notes are back home. bear with me pls for final 3
I had an average night, I really wanted to get going early on but nothing was really going for me in the DYM's however I did manage to grind out a couple of cashes.
That said I got a move on in the BH played some solid stuff to get up to 8k as Ed said but ran my AK into AQ. Just when I needed to hold up popped mrs Q. Win that and I give myself a massive chance of going really deep so I was gutted!
Tonight is a new night though and I am looking forward to giving it another go.

It has been so tough tonight, but ive enjoyed every minute of it!
It has not been one of those nights, where you set the world on fire and smack every flop in the face, make the right reads, make the right plays in every situation without too much thort! It has been one where every hand you are put to a tough decision, loads of outdraws, marginal spots, generally running bad. you know the drill!
It is one of those nights where you need to show fight, determination, back bone and character to come out the other side! (Still with a bankroll)
I cant wait for 2moro night, as ive paid my dues to the poker gods and refused to super tilt!! I will force them to like me!!
Congrats to all the tp's 2nite, its really hard to play with the star above your head, as people see you as a target and want to take you out.
Plus nl50 is tough! Im sure it never used to be that hard!!!
yeah that was tough. It felt like the whole of Sky was gunning to take down that pretty star avatar Not to mention the constant stream of 'why u got that star' and 'what is total player' questions.... i could hardly keep up lol....... unlike Tikay who should add an 'it' to that last sentence.
Poor tikay..... he does take a bashing on ere at times....
Yes that sure was a tough night ! Im certainly no cash specialist and the action there was quite hot. Those stars do shine a bit too brightly !
Sometimes when you are really giving it your best the cards never quite fall right !
I was saved by a few good sit and goes, and go into tomorrow with my bankroll no bigger but still there, knowing I will need a good result in a tourny over the next two nights and absolutely determined to acheive one.
Cheers guys for updating the forum, just to add all 3 have been very modest, Shaun cottlad had a really good start, £75 up on the cash tables cashed in 3/5 dyms and 2nd in a regulat sit,n,go
Tony aka penguin is patience personified, thats why hes so consistent, he came good with some stt finishes and Dantb10, he took the beats like the consumate pro and he had some shockers, he kept his composure and steadyed the bankroll with a 2nd place finish in his last mtt.
Im a proud mentor, good night and see you all tommorow.
Also, I'd like to thank Tikay for working so hard to answer everybody's questions and queries. You do a great job, SkyPoker would never be the same without you.
James I don't know why you bother arguing with these patently bitter and resentful people. Benny a professional moaner and Irish rover a serial attention seeker both seek to stir and character assassinate because of a friendly difference of opinion between you and Pokerbcity (of which they were not involved and thus have no right to comment upon). If I were you I wouldn't indulge them in their nauseatingly childish antics and instead ignore them and expose them for the plainly boring and useless individuals that they are. Hi Browndog,
I am going to jump in here. We are all allowed our opinions on this site, it is the manner in which we do that makes the difference.
There are a couple of points, that i believe are relevant.
1. Will knew the format would be a public vote and not a shootout between the picks to see who won.
2. I respect his decision to stand down, but, as someone who does as he says, would lose all respect of him if he changed his mind now(thats how i feel, no hard feelings Will).
3. What was the intent in your post, as it had quietened down after all parties realised that it could get out of hand. In my opinion, your post is and colud be viewed as derogatory and designed to get a response from those people.
Your post should have been sent as a PM and not an open forum.

I will have to respectfully disagree Sir. As the first two points are completely irrelevant to my original post I will proceed to addressing your third point. You ask 'What was the intent in your post? The intent in my post was to defend one of my friends, whom I respect a lot, from unwarranted rude and offensive remarks. You then state 'it had quietened down after all parties realised that it could get out of hand'. I see no evidence that either it had 'quietened down' or that any of those involved were fearful of it 'getting out of hand'. You continue 'your post is and colud [SIC] be viewed as derogatory and designed to get a response from those people.' What an odd accusation to make especially as you stated at the beginning of your post 'We are all allowed our opinions on this site'. I'm sorry I just assumed I was included in that? Am I not? Of course it could be viewed as derogatory. I think what is more pertinent, however, is whether it was intended to be derogatory, which it was not. I simply gave my true appraisal of the situation at hand and the people involved in it, nothing more.

Way to go Dan. When the going gets tough.......
Hope you run better tomorrow.
Don't fret too much about a dent in your Bankroll, Ed will be looking wider than that. He'll like this though, I fancy.....
