    Newcastle travel to Cardiff in the Premier League tomotoow. Is that the longest away trip in the Premier League, if not, what is?

    Some cute match-ups, too, Man C v Everton, & Man U away to Sunderland. Last weekend BOTH the Manchester clubs lost, & the bookies all cheerred. Can it happen again?

    Meanwhile, Palace are away to Liverpool. Cricket score likely here, with Suarez back, ready to huff & puff, or can Palace spring a surprisey thing?

    In the horses, it is Arc weekend, highlighted by the Arc itself, with the Abbaye being a cracker often won by the invaders.

    Arc fancies, then? Can Ocovango or Ruler of the World spring a surprise?

    F1 travels to Korea of all placed this weekend, where Mr Vettel bids to seal his World Championship - I hope.

    I've had a weird bet in this, being.....

    Will there be a Safety Car - YES/NO

    Everton draw no bet @ 3/1 looks tasty.

    Brave bet that, with Man C @ 1/4. To be fair, I'd not want to get on City @ 1/4, so the lay is maybe a good spot.
     
    Relaxing at home for me, too.

    Tonight & tomorrow, just unwinding, playing mostly PLO8 Cash & DYM's all tonight & tomorrow probably. Anyone wants to join in, or share Cash Tables, hit me up baby.

    Sunday night am doing the Show with Jules.

    Who wants to suggest some sort of Fun Theme for Sunday's Show, then? Sensible, pleaseeeeeee!

    Talking of Jeff, I actually bumped into him last week, also saw Chris Kamara in the canteen.

    Anyone met someone famous, if so, who, where, when, what?

    Please be selective with your answers, I don't wanna see this man's name appear......

    Looks like the longest this season would be Plymouth - Hartlepool (386 miles according to the AA route finder).  Plymouth to Carlisle, Newcastle or Sunderland would be slightly longer but they're not in the same division of course.

    On a related note, on a non-league football forum I frequent, we were wondering about the longest journey faced in a County Cup - not a hypothetical one, but one that actually happened (and we exlcuded IOW teams travelling to Hampshire as an anomaly) the longest one I found was 86 miles. Have a guess as what county that was!

    How do you get rid of an unwanted Guest?

    Hero invited them to 1pm Lunch, & they are still there at 6.30pm.

    Some wag suggested "start talking about concrete & trains"......

    Getting rid of an unwanted guest is easily done. Text a friend telling them to ring you, you can then pretend it is some kind of family emergency i.e. It was your sister on the phone, her washing machine has flooded the kitchen, she didn't know who else to call and you are going straight round to help........the only downside to this plan is that you will probably have to leave the house to make it look real, but you could just nip to the shop for 10 mins then come back, I dunno!!!

    Gone for Vettel hitting trips again... and also one of my 'comedy bets' (= small stake but lovely return possible!) involving Webber...

    Quite a hectic weekend for me!!

     tonight im at Broadway casino in brum for the £40 deepstack, usually gets 100+ runners so a decent prizepool :)

    Then tomorrow morning ive got the monthly stableford at the golf club......followed by going to watch the Worcester warriors (surely off the mark this match!!!) with a night out planned in the night obv!! ;)

    Monthly medal on sunday morning and then an afternoon of football on the sofa!! :)

    Had an unusual meeting with Chris Tarrant a few years ago.
    He was a fishing friend of a member at my local golf club and he came to open the new clubhouse.

    There was an unusual golfing challenge set for the day:
    Golfers v. Fishermen

    The golfers would play as normal.
    The Fishermen have a ball attached to their line and had to cast it up the fairway to the green.

    Then both would use putters on the green.

    Really interesting game over 9 holes!

    Guess who won?

    (if my memory serves me right Sky had some cameras there too).
