Oh Wow! Budget qualifying at its best. A £1,100 UKPC Seat for £2.60, incredible!
I do hope you enjoy the actual experience, too, you may be pleasantly surprised by who else is playing this Event, some serious "names", & not just from the poker world.
Come & say hi before it starts, & I'll give you a big "good luck" kiss.
I may be wrong, but as far as I can see, yesterday was the first time ever that "Brain_BS" had ever played any Tournaments on Sky Poker. If that is indeed the case, welcome aboard Mr Brain, nice start, very nice. Posted by Tikay10
Hi all i qualified last night (some luck, some nice hands). Can someone tell me what players usually do regarding accommodation for the Nottingham tournament?.

Ha, well done Bernie!
Hotels in Nottingham?
There are hotels galore, but most poker players playing at DTD use The Holiday Inn, @ Castle Marina. Make sure you use "Castle Marina", as there is another one, not so well located.
From there, it is about 6 to 7 minutes, & a fiver or so, in a Taxi to DTD, though generally so many players stay there that folks share.
Will this be your biggest ever Tournament, have you got much experience at this level, or even Live?
I was railing the tournament last night from about 3 or 4 tables out and it was amazing the number of players who thought it was a satellite into a big online tournament, not a live event!

The only live games i've played were in Bellagio's 7 years ago. This is by far the biggest, and i'm based in Kent.
I take it from other posts i've read that i can de reg and get £1100?.

I think the only way you get the £1100 is if you qualify again..I know a few weeks ago i said i would be happy with £240 for my ticket, cause im a clueless freeroller/low stakes player and see it as £1100 wasted lol even though its cost me 0 to qualify, so really its nothing wasted, but who knows i may get lucky again

Hi Bernie,
I've not forgotten this, I'll reply later this evening, or in the morning.
For the moment, the post above by moonooooo is, largely speaking, correct, but I'll go into more detail, so that you better understand the reasons, & "why".

Hi Bernie.
The short answer is "no", you cannot de-reg & take cash instead.
The long explanation......
For those who have PREVIOUSLY won a UKPC Seat, & at the discretion of the Business, yes, this is often possible & permitted.
For "first time winners", no, absolutely not. Sky Poker would be shooting themselves in the foot if they allowed that. Imagine if 20 or 30 people qualified then de-regged for cash, & the Guarantee was missed! It'd be a crazy thing to do, really.
T & C's #7 addresses this matter fully, fairly & squarely.....
"...7. No cash alternative is available for any part of the Sky Poker UKPC Main Event seat. Winners must not sell or transfer their Sky Poker UKPC Main Event seat to any third party and winners are responsible for the payment of any applicable tax, if any, due on winning the Prize, and/or any prize money won by participating in the Event...." The full T & C's are HERE
Sorry about that, but that's how it is.
It's going to be a cracking Tourney, though, with a 6 figure sum going to the winner. I hope you decide to play it - come say "Hi" if you do please. Or even give me a slap round the chops.

Ha, Hi Bernie.
Not sure if we are at cross purposes here, but to be clear, the FIRST seat that you, or anyone else, wins via a SkyPoker.com satellite to the UKPC is non-refundable, non-turn-into-cash-able & non-transferable - effectively, your chips are NOW IN PLAY.
Should you win another seat, you'd need to speak to Customer Care, & the £1,100 value would presumably be turned into seat entries for tournaments on SkyPoker.com (UKOPS maybe?), or, & only at the discretion of the Business, a cash refund. This will NOT apply in any circumstances to the first seat won.
In last night's weekly SuperSat, near misses for, amongst others, GELDY, MattBates, chicknMelt, The Hippo, & Slykllist, but the winner, who joins the Lobby for the event itself, was none other than the biggest luckbox since Yoyo & TommyD......
Incredible scenes in last night's UKPC Final. It had 5 seats Guaranteed, & made no less than EIGHT seats, with £880 for ninth place, which went to ChicknMelt.
