In Response to Re: £500 Free Cash Freeroll at 7pm : There's ALWAYS worse things in the world going on. You might as well say stop all gambling and give it to charity etc. To link in world troubles with a freeroll is lunacy!

I made the link as Sky should donate all freeroll monies to charity for the rest of the year. Hopefully that might stop Mr and Mrs Chunter from clogging up the forum with their inane drivel.

Result? A worthwhile charity receives some bonus funds, and the moaning minnies have nothing to moan about as freerolls will cease to exist for the rest of 2013. (obvs they shouldn't moan about a lack of F/R's as the money would be in the pockets of charity).

Perhaps then, when freerolls return in 2014, Mr and Mrs Chunter realise how lucky they are to have the chance to win some free money.

So would you include Priority freerolls in this ban as well?

Is that Chunter spelled "hhyftrftdr"? clogging up the forum?

I have no problem with 50 pts for a free roll
but for those players who have less points in their account why not have a cash equivalent available to top up their buy in?
    Then everyone's happy.
Obviously the top up points wouldn't qualify for the rewards promotion

I don't think there's much that makes hhyftrftdr happy. Or perhaps he/she doesn't like to see other people happy

Christmas is also cancelled, all money you were going to spend on food, drink and presents must go to chairty so you realise how lucky you are ;)

Priority freerolls don't tend to cause so much hysteria on the forum.

I don't mind your idea DMD but then if you need to top up the 'buy in' with cash then it doesn't really count as a freeroll.

Plenty makes me happy FCHD. People kicking up a stink because Sky have the audacity to change the criteria for their tournament, held on their site, which gives away money from their coffers, grates me.

Suppose some people are just ungrateful.

I think this is good - but 25 points would be fairer.

Cant see why people are complaining, sky have given away £3500 a week for the last 3 or 4 months on this tourney, if you havent got the points to enter now deposit and earn them.

Have to disagree with this. Sky have put in approx 50k in this freeroll to attract new players it can only go on for so long. Liken it to a supermarket who gives you a free drink every time you walk through its doors, you tell your friends and they come, they look around like what they see and keep coming back, how long can the supermarket keep giving away free drinks? not the best analogy but you get what i mean.

And lets not forget Sky give new players 20 quid for absolutely nothing.

They don't have to give away £500 every day. But I suppose we live in a me,me,me society these days, and this can transfer to the poker world as well.

Looks like we are in the minority snuffer ;)

That's fine if you can afford to buy in to things like the main events.

I'm  not by any means a new player, but these freerolls have been a godsend to my bank roll over the last month, enabling me to have a go at a few satellites for things like a Tuesday night Turbo main. I'm not currently employed so I can't afford to deposit any more to my poker account at the moment, so I'll just tootle along on the low stakes DYMs and keep my head above water that way.

I bet most of the £500 that is given away every day on the Freeroll stays on the site and eventually gets recycled back in rake anyway.

Also, perhaps I owe hhyftrftdr an apology for earlier, we can disagree about something without me resulting to getting petty over it, so sorry hhyftrftdr.
