This is similar to something I wrote in my thread about improvements to the site. In general I think the overall "player rewards" package could be a lot better. Personally I can't be bothered about the smaller freerolls but I used to like the bigger one on a Wednesday night & even when it was a £500 pool it was quite good. Posted by silentbob
i havnt received a password for the community fr today any 1 help me ????
T o be fair to Sky most sites give you something for your player points but take them away at end of month, Sky don't do this which is why your points are adding up which aint a bad thing.
I would also like bigger freerolls as they would be played more seriously by players.
Does anyone agree that SKYPOKER should have some form of merchandise store where we can actually spend our poker points or even better tournaments that we can buy in to??? Posted by Jimmy8
YES !!!! I want a hoody.... a keyring.... a cup... deck of cards
I think there are only 4 regular freerolls (£20 prizepool) throughout the day and the weekly £250 prizepool on a wednesday, shoulnt there be alot more freerolls for us loyal skypoker users? What does everybody think?... Posted by Jimmy8
Most definatley sky should entise more players by giving people more chance to play and win bigger prizes min freerolls. I wuouldnt waste my time or effort playing for peanuts but do spent sufficient money on this site so why not get rewarded?
IRISHROVER wow looks like your doing well for yourself buddy well played. what advice could you give to people playin MTT? And also what is your single biggest win...and for that matter anyone had a massive win on SkyPoker? Posted by Jimmy8
jimmy my best win was 300 in a freeroll, my best advice is when u get ak or aq or aj etc, in the proper poker game [mtt deepstack ] in the early to mid stages of the tournement dont raise up preflop . u wont waste chips or push yourself in to follow up bluff betting if u miss the flop . but if flop comes good, you have disguise your starting cards and in good position to win some chips . in the later stages these starting cards should be used for raising up preflop to steal the blinds.
I think that sky should have some kind of VIP store which works in the same way as pokerstars, where you earn points and you can cash them in for cash, products and freerolls and have some kind of tier system like most the major sites have which where you have to earn points to move up the VIP ladder starting as bronze then silver and gold etc. I dont see the point of the sky poker league because if you have a job its near impossible to place in the cash places. points for cash is ok however now that sky poker is becoming a major player with internet pokersite in the UK I think that the VIP and freerolls deserve a massive change.
MY POKER POINTS R MOUNTING INTO THOUSANDS THOUGHT THEY MIGHT B EXCHANGEABLE FOR SKY POKER MERCHANDISE BUT CAN ONLY USE THEM IN FREEROLL TOURNYS I THINK IM EARNIN MORE POKER POINTS THAN I CAN ACTUALLY USE IN A WEEK?SKY POKER USED 2 DO A POKER POINT SIT N GO SATELLITE 4 THE PRIMO ANY CHANCE OF INTRODUCING THIS BACK ON THE SITE ?UR THOUGHTS GUYS??
I think there should definately be a weekly premium freeroll or 2. Something with a large playerpoints buy in, and some daily playerpoint satellites feeding into it. There was one on ladbrokes with something in the region of 25k prize pool that ran weekly with many freeroll satellites feeding it, and it was always nice to have something useful to aim for with the player points I had. I reached it a couple of times through the satellites, and the times I didn't - I lost my player points but still felt pleased that I'd used them toward something worthwhile. On here I seem to be (like a lot of others I've noticed) just gaining more and more player points because I can't be bothered to spend 10 of them fighting 800 other people over a pool of £20.
Oh yea and also the freeroll on a wednesday night (£250 prizepool) used to be 4 times greater (£1000) why has this changed and should they change it back? Posted by Jimmy8
I agree I think we should have more and for a little more prizemoney

There should be 1 more freeroll and that should be at ten pm and the pots could be bigger ie 100 or even 50 cos I started with nothing and won some and that lead me into putting money in my account
I don't neccessarily mind the £20 prize money daily Freerolls as they are, because I think the freerolls work best as a way for newer players to get some tournament practice in without risking any real money. Some more 'special occasion' ones with bigger prizes for bigger entries would be nice of course. There was one to coincide with one of the big horse races a few months back I think, that's about all I remember.
no way--definately not-- the 20 quid freerolls are the best thing ever invented on any poker site in the whole world ever!!--whoever thought of them should be promoted to managing director--seven hundred players fighting for a share of 20 quid is brilliant--the only possible way to improve on them would be to increase the time to 30 minute blind levels ---players could then forget about paying to enter silly 400 grtd tournaments altogether--fantastic!!!! well done sky!
ps-once i came 42nd and won 11 pence--i was so delighted with my 2 hours work i gave up my job and turned professional--i have never looked back since! why do people get up every flippin morning to go to work??--its just stupid --when all they have to do is open a sky account, save up a few valuable points and join the best players in the world on the sky freeroll tables!!!! unbelievable init?
Hi Jimmy. The added time question was under discussion in another thread and it's largely the fact that we look to get the Open finished within the 3 hour TV schedule that determines the amount of time given to players. Good decison, bad decision, what do you think? Posted by Sky_Des
any chance of having timebank capabilities for cash then?
