    Nice work, Churchy.

Have read through your thread and see you have more than you started with. But I can't see whether or not you've had to pull up again.

Are you still using the same £24 you started with?

Right... my last update was a loooong time ago.  But dont fret!  Ive kept a record of my ME and Mini shenanigans. We left my BR on £890 on the 18th. Since then I have played 8 main and Mini events... including two rollers.  However having sat into one roller for £3.... then a week later satting into the roller for £11 AND winning an all in sat AND winning bubble money on an all in sat my BR hasnt been demolished in the slightest! In fact, due to one or two min cashes/bounties in the Bounty Hunters my ME and Mini BR lies on £909. Still no deep runs to report though.  I havent played an MTT in almost a week but i shall be playing tonight so heres hoping i can return with a decent score!

OK, best of luck Gazza. You've reminded me to try satellite in to the main! Thanks!

Keep an eye out for the all in sats after about half 8 they tend to run with a fair bit of overlay.  36 is +ev 37 -ev

    That was the main event.

Funnily enough we finished close again in the mini. 16th for me and Senor is still going.

    Not a bad's night work.

Although I finished slightly down money-wise as I topped up and added on in the mini, and bought one add-on in the main. Plus two all-in satellites.

    So a start of £126.72

    My outlay was £42.36.

However, I hada reasonable run in the main- finishing 78th.

But cashed in the mini! Finishing 16th out of 226 runners and winning £29.64.

So, bankroll now £114. But I'm not down about losing £12 as I had a good 5 hours of poker out of it and chalked up a decent finish and cash.

Thanks again to everyone who railed and chatted tonight.

Keep posting your bankroll progress on here and see you next Wednesday night on the tables!

    Summary of tonight as promised.

I played the main and mini and was going deep in both.  I had cashed in the main and was doing well... and then my KK lost to 77 all in pre and I crashed out soon after.  Despite cashing for £50 I actually lost £40 on the tournament - I maaayyyyyy have gone rebuy happy when things werent going my way.

Nevermind though.  I was still in the mini.  I managed to final table but then lost a big pot with a big draw... and went out soon after with this hand:

Cheers for the kind words Rich. Yes, I know the standard play in most spots.....but pressing call is ssso00oooo easy, especially when I can reload. I remember Sam Grafton said in the 'Reloaded' show that he cant respect money in the same way he does MTT chips and that definately rings home with me.

Also, Simon Hemsworth actually used the phrase 'fight fire with fire' which I used myself in a post above to display my attitude to playback vs aggro players. In my usual games (low stakes mtt/stt) this approach can work, but the missteps in cash can get expensive!

    time wasting

    sess 20 (30min x5) -13.76

QQ failed to hold vs a gutshot and air in 3b pot for £28

Tried chk-raise river bluff after opposition bet ridiculously small turn and river... lost a fiver.

    Bah!

    Session 21 (1.5 hrs x 6tabs) -£24.92

    bankroll = £365.24

Played a little loose and lost two big pots with suited connectors OOP.... once with an OESD+FD on the turn and then hitting a straight and opponent also hitting the higher straight. According to traditional poker strategy I should not have been in the hands pre vs 1 opponent but I knew they had premium overpairs (AA & TT as it turns out) and I would get paid if I hit. Still, perhaps I should scratch these high variance plays at the moment......

I also managed to get KK in pre vs AT for a full stack and lose. No joy in the sats for ME tonight either and I am going to cut those out until get winning again, although I still have a bit of extra money on the site for mtt/stt entries.

If I drop below £300 in this challenge I will drop to the 8p tables but hopefully it wont come to that!
