In Response to Re: UKPC hints - Live etiquette : Not a silly questionat all Dunmidosh - in live tournaments, there is no limit to how long you may leave the table for. Your blinds and antes will be posted, and when they run out, you will be eliminated. Posted by CoxyLboro
Some card room s have a time limit, or a round of the table, then after that they post ur big blind or small blind ever hand, witch ever the case may be
Is there an easy way to keep track of the size of the pot? Posted by VespaPX
The dealer cannot tell you exactly the amount in the pot, so one trick (post antes) is to times the BB by three to approximate the amount in the pot, then add any raises/calls to the calculation

But you can ask the dealer to spread it. The pot, that is.

Excellent point. Never touch the chips in the centre of the table until the dealer has pushed them to you. Do not take change, do not swap for higher denomination chips, nothing. Also, do not reach forward to drag the chips forward when you win a hand, the dealer will push them to you
In Response to Re: UKPC hints - Live etiquette : Yeah, use those ickle awkward side-tables that you can pull up next to you, and try to avoid throwing your elbows, because your coffee/beer/margarita is likely to end up on the floor otherwise. Posted by Slipwater
i just thought of something that is a little annoying at my local casino and wondering if its the same at other casinos
you get a 5min break every hour which is when those who smoke go have a cigarette and grab a drink and those who dont smoke usually grab a drink so
why does the waitress come round within 2mins of the break ending to ask if anyone wants a drink surely if would be better if she came round at say half past the hour in case someone wants a top up
