Probably Simon Deadman. He bashed me up at the end of day 1 of the UKPC 6max knocking me from like 280k to 165k. Table redraw for day 2 and I got him again, but bashed him up that time (luckboxed a few hands v him) to go from 165k back to 330k.
Really nice guy, great table presence and just good to get a bit of chat going at the table.

You must've played with Ed Giddins? James Hartigan? Even Richard Orford?
All those are more famous than Simon Deadman imo (and Julian Thew).
Mine will be John McCririck when he was playing sngs from the studio back in the day.

I play him in a £11 plo8 Ukops side event. He abused me in chat box too for making a bad play. Times must have been hard.
Daniel Negreanu, EPT London Charity Tournament. I final tabled, with Hevad Khan going on to win it.
Negreanu was an incredibly nice guy, was all about everyone having fun and super competitive, even in a £50 rebuy. Khan was a class act too, and a lot of banter around the bulldozer moments from the WSOP. He was a lot quieter in London, but then he wasn't playing for a billion dollars.
I played the first table with Dario Minieri on my right too and stacked him four times in the rebuy period. I spent a total sum of £100 (add-on FTW).
Those days were immense...
(Also played with Chris Ferguson and Andy Bloch in the same tournament. That was pretty sweet, apart from the fact they were tied up with Full Tilt. Let's not go there though, eh?)
Best bluff I ever pulled against a good player was vs. Nik Persaud in a satellite for Late Night Poker (yes, that long ago). Managed to get him to pass a set of eights on a AK8Jccxc board. I had six-high, no club.
Once sat down at a table to see Jake Cody on my right, turns out he was just sitting talking to a friend and got up and left. PHew! Then Marcel Luske sat down. Pleasant chap.
The 6max in the UKPC was stacked with good players. I played with Tom Hall. Sinem Melin, Julian Thew , Carlo Citrone and JP kelly. It was a bit different to my local casino in Torquay but I loved every minute of it, apart from the last.
Busted Alex Goulder in the Grand Prix at DTD last year. Earlier on, also had him and Andrew Hulme on my table, though I didn't realise it was stato_1 at the time.
Online, had James Dempsey on my UKOPS ME table. I think he got me off the best hand about 217,482 times.
Marcel Luske @ UPKC. Was very friendly and made several jokes during most of day 2. Witnessed him get super lucky vs a sky sat qualifer with 99 vs the sky sat player AA. Marcel said, in poker it doesn't matter how good you are, you still need the luck to carry you through to the end!
Don't think I've actually played them any of them, definitely not live anyway. Have played with Thew but most regular SPTers must have. Plagued with lil Dave too. Posted by Lambert180
Intrigued as to what disease and how lildave plagued you.
Former Main Event Winner Robert Varkonyi. Really came across well and was a thoroughly decent and friendly bloke. The fun aspect of him joining the table was everyone starting playing QT like it was the nuts.

Nice guy; fairly quiet. I imagine he's quite a shy person away from the table. Probably the antithesis of Neil Channing.
We played a few small pots together, but I decided not to go to war with him. He busted a couple of hours before I did
he was on stv news once for boostin cars.
Classy

Oh is it live?
Haven't played with John Mac then.
Did hold the door open for him once when I was working @ Donny Races though.
had him on my left in a UKIPT
really nice guy
got it all in on the flop as button vs his small blind
we both had AK
