I've played Phil Ivey a few times online, however he seems to multi account because his screen name has been things like philivey12, philiveysgreat, philivey57 etc. Also he seems to move a lot because he has been from various places such as Scunthorpe and Wigan, both of which, I am reliably informed are rather 'dowdy'.
His personality seems to change too. Sometimes he is nice sometimes not. I guess multi millionaires also have bad days.
He must be really keen on poker because he often plays the small limit games. Maybe he likes the interaction.
In Response to Re: Famous players : It's a great story you have to tell it. edited to say: Oh xxxx I've got you mixed up with pomfrittes. Yours is good I suppose (depends who was on your table) but poms is a real good one. Posted by FlyingDagg
Now you know I don't like to talk about me winning a seat at wsop main event and walking out with Greg Raymer ( He really is as big as he looks on tv) so Ill not mention it. Oh I won it on a freeroll with poker points amassed over the year and finished 2nd of 1412 players with top 4 getting a 15k package, other than that iv played on the same table as Dale winton I think his name is.

EPT Grand Final winner Pieter de Korver in the UKIPT Nottingham, I kept away from him but did run him back to his hotel after day 1 and discussed some hands, lovely guy who even railed me on day 3
Sam Razavi, same tournament
Fintan Gavin at The Eglinton in Galway, excellent reader
Jerry Yang, cash game at Aria in Vegas, was in same tournament as Hellmuth in Aria but alas different table
