I'm a very proud/loyal Yorkshire fan, but I've said from day 1 Joe Root shouldn't play any form of cricket for England other than Test matches.

Gary Ballance is abit different, but not sure he can take International attacks apart like he does in county cricket.

He always plays himself in, and explodes later. He's kind of like a Trott, with more power, but a tad less class. Another 'inbetween' type of cricketer, not sure he'll make it at any International level.

Not the best day to be a Yorkie.

    Give them us back.

Hope Jos can save the day...................

Top 4 in the order are not nearly dynamic enough.

I wonder what James Taylor has to do to get in that side. He averages 50+ in List A!!

Nice work on the Punjab bet. You greening up or letting it ride?

    Jeez India have some talent.

No young Englishman could play an innings like that against an attack like that.

Can't trust Punjab to defend anything though so gone green @ half time

Just a fan now, game on. :)

Punjab bowling just too weak in the end. Oh well.

Fwiw Vohra scored 324 runs in 8 innings. Uthappa took the leading tourney run scorer title with 660 in 16 innings.

Not that it'd matter because I didn't back it but it's a shame he wasn't given the gig from game 1.

    Great final, Great tournament !

    Only just watched it.

Not sure but I'd assume the half time trade was perfect.

You need to ring around the bookies and see if they'll lay Vohra at 150's for next season :-))))))

    *******

Clearly the best IPL for a long time,

    Now what will I do???

    :'((((

Didn't think there are bowling powerplays these days JJ.

I know you northerners live in the past, but thought you'd have caught up by now.

Yeh, I made a twitter comeback to ask the same question.

Got 4 re-tweets within a minute, thought I was going to be famous with 100,.000 retweets.

    They stopped pretty suddenly.

Maybe they were taking the P.

    sighhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I don't think I've ever had a proper bet on anything other than the T20 competition in the English domestic scene. Very biased, but with Root having something to prove before regaining his England place, and Bairstow, Bresnan and Balance all unlikely to feature, along with the big signing of Kane Williamson I fancy YCCC to go close again. Sidebottom is still doing it, Plunkett and Brooks will be better again, yet probably still not good enough for England. Looked a couple of weeks ago and we were 11/2. Not really a bet for me though, I'm a mug punter not a shrewd long term investor. cba waiting 6 months for a return. Root Lees Williamson Bairstow Ballance Gale Rashid Plunkett Bresnan / Patterson Brooks Sidebottom V optimistic if we can get that team out though! :D
