I am happy for you to go with which ever perm you think is best - leaving kingsman as a solo selection seems sensible to me, giving us a better chance of getting there.  The only issue i have with this is that i will be at work the whole of saturday so would not be able to get the lay bet on - is this something you could do on behalf of the whole syndicate?

I am sorry mate but I cant take on lay bets for each member of the syndicate. It was a suggestion for each individual to take on board if we have five winners out of five and they want to get there money back so they had a shot to nothing.

Hopefully you can sort out somebody to do it.

Come on guys let's try get to £600 by the time Terry closes the shop!!!! The more picks we have the better. I've joined in with another well known Poker Community, and they have just shy of £4,000 in the kitty. Now that covers a lot of horses. Mind u, they failed to get past the 1st leg last Saturday. Be rest assured guys, I'll cover as many as I feel it warrants to at least get past that!!!!

Thanks all, not me this week but joesman1 who says he will liaise with me Saturday morning so suggestions can still come on here and I will pass on. Thanks for having so much faith in this and myself. Deposited £530 for the bet today from our Bank Account. Should reach the bookies account within 2 hours (it better Do). Any latecomers money I will transfer later. Latest players on table in first post. Will pm indieben, trip5 and Larson7 to give them one more chance Father V

This is becoming a nightmare. Hopefully it will get easier!!!!

I set up a quick transfer under the impression this would be quick. How wrong I was. Apparently these take one to three days and to cap it all my bookie cannot trace the £530 transfer even though it has left our account. It was paid into their account they have accepted that but it will take three days to trace it which obviously is Sunday and until they trace it they cannot credit my account.!!!!

I got onto them and they have taken £530 from my credit card so we are still in business.

From now on I will transfer the money we have collected each week into my own bank account each Friday and make payment into the bookies by phone on my credit card.

I hope everybody is ok with this.

IMPORTANT POST Hi all, It looks like we will have around £500 for our first go at the Scoop6. Picking the horses is bad enough but getting the perm right is also important. Here are some we can afford around the £500 mark 2x3x3x3x2x2 = £432 -  2x3x3x3x3 x2 is to expensive 2x3x2x2x2x4 =£384 -2x3x3x2x2x4 is just to expensive at £576 2x2x2x2x4x4 =£512 which looks good but hold on 4x4x4x2x2x1 =£512 as well but why go to a perm with only one horse in it. Well let me explain It is being suggested that unless the 2000 guineas falls apart in respect of runners that will be the last leg. Kingman is likely to be short odds for that race.  Now suppose Kingman is our one and only horse for the 2000 guineas. By doing that perm we would have increased our chances of getting to the last race. Scenario- if we haven't got five out of five by time of 2000 guineas with 4x4x4x2x2x1 then we wouldn't have got there with less numbers in other races. By doing this perm we have optimised our chances of getting to last race. But you say whats the point of doing that if we are short for last race and lose Scoop 6 because Kingman doesn't win.? I would say the most we would probably have in that race would be two and even they might both lose. But if we only have one, Kingman, then if we have five out of five before last race we all have the chance to win our stake back by laying Kingman at a good price on the exchanges. If he wins we win the scoop6 , if he loses we get our stake money and more back from the lay. OK you say other people will have Kingman and we wont win the scoop6 outright if he wins 2000. Other syndicates might not, and it is a big might, might not get there because they havent covered as many horses earlier. This scenario also works if another race is the last one and we only fancy one or two in it.  Also as well as the lay bet option the chances of Kingman not being placed is small and we would at least have a place dividend. Don't read the above saying he is being too cautious to win the scoop 6 is our aim in this club. Yes it is but this scenario gives us a better chance to get to the last race and hopefully WIN. COMMENTS PLEASE FATHER V

    Hi Terry.

As mentioned by Neil, on another site they 'closed off' last night at 6pm to give enough time for banking transfers etc etc. Perhaps if this club continues, it is some thing we should look at. Anything that makes it easier for you guys, the better.

    Hi Alan

I am ok with Friday at 6pm as I have now sussed out a payment system that works and money doesn't go missing.

Bookie still trying to find original transfer. At least with my new method  as advised above, the money is credited to A/c straight away.

    Terry

lets hope we win and that future weeks less stressful.
No problem there was always going to be teething problems.
