Hullo!  How have you been!? It’s been a while... I’ve moved house and got no broadband for TWO WHOLE WEEKS! HOW WILL I LIVE!? *deep breaths*

So! Couple of topics ahead of tomorrow night’s live show:


Is Poker a sport or a game?

I heard this being discussed on a Radio Show recently and in summary the general consensus was that anything you don’t have to be physically fit for, i.e Poker, Snooker, Darts is NOT a sport, it’s a game.  They’re words, not mine!  Any thoughts?…


And finally: if you were a poker hand, which would you be and why?  Sounds like an old Blind Date question that one but I thought we’d give it a go!  I’d love to say Pocket Jacks on the basis I’m quite difficult to play but that’s simply not true… I’ll think of something better for the show!

    Hi Sarah

    Sport of Game?
    Its interesting that the Olympics are called the Olympic "Games"
    But there are some events in there that you don't have to be that physically fit for.
    i.e.
    Archery
    Shooting
    Golf

    Anyway have a good show, i'll probably miss it as i'm off out to see a mate who's got me a ticket to see The Lambrettas on Bournemouth Pier on Sunday night ! :-)

    Poker is a neither a sport or a game.

    Its a art, similar to being able to cook a perfect thai red currey, its a refined skill.

    Sarah, I dont think ive joined you for a show before yet, so your not aware about the magic of coconut milk are you?

    Good afternoon Mrs Champion and Mr Rutter.
    Would it be possible to give a shout out for the £2.20 @2.20 deepstack on tonights show.
    The great man himself Mr Julian Thew has agreed to play £2.20 @2.20 DEEPSTACK  on the 4th June, also some other top players have also agreed to play on the 4th June, i would also consider it an honour if yourself and Mr Rutter could spare the time to participate.

    To quote that fantastic eighties Tom Hanks movie, Big: it's only a sport if you sweat, but I'd perhaps disagree with that a little and say that if you can be the best in the world at it sitting down, it's a game. If you have to stand up to do so - or at the very least, get off your backside - it's a sport.

    *wheelchair 'sports' notwithstanding :)

    Oh and a further update guys and gals! Both Charlotte Jackson AND Richard Orford are on the tables tonight playing the main and the mini and possibly kicking about on the cash tables too, if that doesn't get you rubbing your hands together with glee - nothing will!  ;-)

    Have you tried the new Sky Poker App yet?

    When did you download it? How long did it take to download?

    If so, tell us the most unusual place where you have so far played via the new Sky Poker App.

    In the Bus Queue?

    On the train?

    At the Mother-in-Laws?

    In bed?

    Whilst watching TV. (You have to name the Show).

    If we get some decent answers, we might be able to persuade Mr Producer to find a prize or two.

    must be a game Sarah, as the TEACAKE MAN, could not do sport.

    but then again Sarah,with a body like yours we certainly could make it a sport.

    but what could we call the sport
