Hi Dev Been following your thread for a while. Congrats on the £200 barrier. Ignore those asking why you include freerolls bets etc, all goes/comes from the same pot. As im sure you are aware cash for points are crucial to building the roll. Onwards to the £300!!

whoooops.  got off to a bad start, can usually grind it back but things didn't go my way tonight.
first really bad session so no complaints, i've run pretty well so far, and i know the dangers so i'll get over it by tomorrow.
it could have been worse has i been stubborn & continued with the £3 games, so at least i'm happy with my discipline shown there.
the £2's were a struggle too, but managed to keep the loss to about the minimum i could have hoped for, as i managed to at least win a few towards the end of the night.
i'll check in a mo, probably puts me back about a week or so.(10 days in fact 8/8/14 £191.xx)... no worries though as i know i'll get it back.
it's not going to be my last big loss on this journey so i'll live with it.
maybe a 'stop loss' plan could be introduced so this doesn't happen again, i'll have to give that some more thought. anyway...
I'm still up by £151.74 from my original £40, so it's not so bad when you look at the big picture, is it.

Well at least you've had the balls to post up your loss. Believe it not, over my last 1500 game sample I've just hit 14% + av ROI playing the exact same games you are playing in your challenge. So if you want some fresh advice on how to play them, just come and find me. Run well..

ROI is your actual winnings from a game div by the buy in and fee *100. You then get your returns for all games played at a single level. Your average ROI would then be all your ROI's from each level you've played but averaged out.

    thanks mate...

    so say i played 10 x £1 games     won 7 lost 3     so is that  7 x 85p winnings = £5.95 div by 10 buy-ins = 10 x £1.15 = £11.50
    so 5.95  div by 11.50 = 0.517 x 100 = 51.7% roi? that doesn't seem right does it?

    ps;  or is it...  7 x £2.00  = £14 div by £11.50 = 1.21 x 100 = 121% roi ?

    i know the above is all wrong;

    so, i know i've invested 10 x £1.15 = £11.50

         i know i've won 7 x £2 = £14

that gives a return profit of £2.50

    10% roi on 11.50 is 1.15
    20% roi  is 2.30

so my roi is just over 20+% isn/t it?

Yeah the top one is right. But then that is a very small sample. In your example your talking about winning 70% of games, so the return on investment is gonna be very high.

ROI is short for "return on investment." This is a poker term that is used to measure the profitability of one's play in poker tournaments. ROI is calculated as (100 * total profit/total buy-in). Thus, if one received a prize of $150 in a tournament with a buy-in of $100+$9, one's ROI is calculated as 100 * $41/$109= 37.61%.

Looking at in very simple terms, if you invest £11.50 and make £5.95, even off the top of your head you can see you've made around a 50% return. Because you basically invested £12 and more or less made £6..
