If you played 10 £1 dyms your investment is £11.50. If you won 7 you had winnings of £14. So your profit (return) is is £2.5.

    £2.5 divided by £11.50 = 21.7% roi

    day  68
    Wednesday  20/8/14

another painting, did this one y'day.
bit of an experiment. watercolor but done by soaking the paper thouroughly for about 5 mins in sink, so soaking wet on both sides, then i applied the paint with a brush & using diluted paints from plastic spray bottles also in places, applied the paint on the back of what is now the viewing side, so in effect no paint was added from the front, it all soaked through from the back giving this mottled blending marble effect, which i then let dry & added the ink drawing afterwards.
I will try this again soon & next time will paint in the subjects I choose thus making it a proper painting.
shame i can't get it bigger for you to see as it really does look better the bigger you see it, but I hope you like what little you can see from here anyway...
    WOW...
This painting has just been featured in this weeks 'top 5' on my PMP (paint my painting) site that I belong to.
this is my first time & maybe only time of achieving this, so I'm obviously delighted.
it basically means the painting will be on view on the homepage for the next 24 hours, rather than the normal hour or so you normally get before it slides off the page and on to page 2 and into obscurity.
    Can't believe it!!!
to give you some idea of how many paintings get posted, the site has over 15,000 members worldwide, some professional artists too, so it's quite a few anyway.

    Thanks mate,
I'm not sure about that mate. you could join the site, which is free, post up any photo you wanted & leave a message asking if anyone would paint it as a commision for you, if that's what you wanted.
I'll find out for you though just to make sure we're not breaking any rules, but i don't see why it couldn't be done.
i know many artists there do do commisions for friends, etc, so I'll get on it & get back to you.
have you a picture in mind yourself or is it just a general question?

edit[ i've made a few unoficial enquiries, & was told you could post up the photo, with a view to possibly buying the painting but it's only another newish members view.
i'm waiting for a rules confirmation either way.

edit[ or have i got it wrong, & you want to know if you can upload photo's yourself with a view to receiving a fee for artists wanting to paint them?
in which case that answer is no, all photo's are posted for free, for artists to paint & sell  their work should they wish, free of charge.

had a chat with a founder site member & friend of mine about this.
yes, you could but she said the best way would be for you to join the site, which is free, then either post her or myself the picture you would like painted, i'm assuming this is what you are asking about, then she would be able to find you a suitable artist/artists that could paint it, and send you details re, prices etc etc.
hope that is of some help,
    dev
get back to me if you need any more help/advice.

    Hi Dev
Thanks for going to the effort for finding out, but it wasnt really what I meant.
I was just thinking that you could put some of your pictures up for sale on the site if you were allowed!!

    ok mate,
I've not seen that on this site, so i'm guessing it's not allowed, there are quite a few rules & regulations here, but i know artists here do sell their paintings either through their own web sites or through other means, galleries etc.
maybe one day i might sell some of my paintings, but at the moment it's just fun & they would also need to improve before i could/would even think about doing so. :)

                 -£1.15

    WON  £3.25    B/R  £207.04    PTS  £5.95  to come

still proceeding with caution, as any big losing sessions are potentially always just around the corner, especially now i'm playing the £3 level more often.
will drop the £1 games at the end of this month, provided b/r is over £200.
happy with my progress, maybe could play more games each session but little wins still add up as i am showing.
i'm sure as b/r grows then i will play more £3 games. once i am over £300 then i'll feel so much more comfortable & will be able to comfortably take the big £30+ losses which will inevitably come, along with the £30+ wins too,. hopefully :)
still think this could be over by xmas, if nor even earlier, once i get cracking on the £3 games extensively.
still keeping it to a max 4- 6 tables, which i hope to continue throughout this journey.

ran as bad as bad can be, so really happy losing just the £1.15 tonight.
even if i had lost the 3rd £3 game i was thinking of calling it a night & facing a £7+ defeat, remembering my last £27 losing session, where i just got stubborn & wouldn't give up.
