Hi i'm from the north east of england, been playing poker for about 3/4 years but mainly a year seriously. Theres a group of 3/4 of us who play live around twice a week and grind out a profit from live mtt's every month (somehow). I play anything no limit on sky ranging from satilites to heads up to dym to cash and mtt, although i would like to think my strongest game is mtt, who knows!
a little bit about me, love socialising with the lads weekends away, lads holidays etc. Really into football and love a good sweat with a bet on the footy or anything sport related (complete degen). just finished graduating from uni and have a full time job which my role is a family assisted support worker for North East Autism, and i thoroughly love my job.
The thread is about various types of poker and improving so will be posting hands from the games i play and feel are worthy to share with you all and want to recieve as much advice as possible.

Hey mate. Tricky posting hands. DONT do it from the hand history in the download do it from the hand history from the IE. Then its just a case of finding your hand and copy/paste. Although I find if I actually copy the part with the hand number it goes crazy. Just literally post the table/grid with the hand on. Hope this helps.

how to people feel about getting it in on the flop? I know I'm not beating a **** of a lot, but I've underrepped my hand pre flop, and his large 3 bet suggests to me he has a draw, as he has position and I have betting lead if he had a set etc...

In general I dont like it, You fold out all bluffs, get stacked against aa,kk,qq and sets and are flipping against any flush draws

Its fine, you wont be folding out bluffs in this scenario. The guys put in 720 with 1130 behind, hes not folding, with AQ here only move is all in really.

Think it's the initial raise on the flop when generally you'll only fold out worse and get called by better/decent draws.

Good luck with your Diary, Jake.

I would imagine working with autistic people is most rewarding.

There seems to be far more autism these days than used to be the case. Do you have an idea why?

agree with you normally and often guilty myself of giving this feedback and 9/10 would never take this line, but as i have underepped and the raise utgafter his re raise dont you think that opens the idea of the draw up?
Thankyou for gracing this thread tikay, i firmly believe it is because more people are getting diagnosed as the condition is now widley know from what it was 20 years ago, so an increase i think down to more children getting diagnosed from an early age. With the job it is very rewarding from my prespective, anything i can do to make their life easier and happier is a positive.

No i would definitely stand by my opinion on this one i think most players would flat with aq so early on so i wouldnt say you are underplaying it, and by reraising that flop you allow yourself to be 3bet at which point his range crushes you as very few people would play qk or qj that way, there was a small chance he had a draw but most of the time he will show up with aa, kk qq or a set especially at the early stage.

Hey Jake, good banter yesterday! ;)

IMO your line is fine, I probably flat the re-raise on the flop or bet smaller if I flopped a set in all honesty. Think my line was a little too obvious that I was on big draw. Still, never a bad thing to play it fast (either hand) in those types of tourneies IMO.

GL at the tables and all the best with the job!

    Craig
