Understanding the what & why really helps, imo. Some really astounding misconceptions arise on this Community about this Business, & I'm just trying, one by one, to explain stuff. Posted by Tikay10
excellent idea - DoubleAAA has posted (Poker Chat 30/07)
"How about allowing me to see my cards"
perhap's you could explain what & why he cant? The satisfaction of helping each other? Priceless.
I have to be honest i hate all this 'talking about poker' stuff, but i dont mind doing a thread and giving advice to beginners on plo if it helps build up plo on the site. its about time players realised how much of a better cash game plo is.

Yes please Phil, that'd be great if you could.
PLO is very low traffic here at present, but raising awareness DOES help, as we've seen with PLO8 Traffic of late.
Better game? Well you & I may think so, but relatively few agree.
What we have seen though is that those who switch to the 4 card game seem to have their interest & enthusiasm in poker re-awoken. And peoople do seem to ENJOY it more, judging by the chat-box banter.
Of course, PLO & PLO8 are very swingy, & we get some whopping outdraws as a matter of course, so it's not for those who can't take a beat, & so it is probably not the game for the "my Aces got beat, boo-hoo" brigade, outdraws are the name of the game in Omaha.
It always rather amuses me, when playing PLO or PLO8, to see "nice catch" in the Chat Box when someone gets there. It's a drawing game, not a game of pre-flop made hands. Understanding starting hand criteria is key.
Hope you do start it, & I'll support it such as I'm able & equipped.
I know one thing, for sure. Beating NLH these days is a tough ask. PLO & PLO8, well not so much.

Looking forward to it. Wouldn't mind giving PLO cash a spin. Something new to learn :-)
