Proper planning & preparation prevents p*** poor performance.  JFDI is also fine tho, Depends how much time you've got? ;-)

    Spankys challenge

    Day 1 Dec 03 2014

    Hands played 3
    Hands folded 2
    Profit= £0.30

    Hehehehe

3rd hand of session folded to me w AA in cutoff. Had to go against my better judgement and  min raise it up from an early position. Had my finger hovering over the fold button in case somebody clicked it back but they weren't messing with ole spanksy. 30p banked TYVM, win booked.

Same again tomorrow and I can buy a newspaper with my winnings on Friday morning.

Now then Harry, news, sport and a crossword all for free just by exercising my discipline and sticking to my gameplan. Not bad eh??

Gonna make a proper attempt to get into this boosted UKPC main event. Doubling the GTD just sweetens the deal. Time to brush up on my satty skills and probably start at the £10 level. Will also look at some of the freerolls that offer a few seats to the semi. The ideal way to bink a seat however will be to top this UKOPs leaderboard....

Been dabbling at cash a bit recently. People (regs) must love it when I sit down, as I'm a flawed cash player with awful habits. I just can't fold a juicy SC no matter how heavy the betting gets :) Did lose a £50 pot before the main last night, 33 on a K 3 4 10 4 board, it's a weird feeling knowing you should fold (when I was raised on the turn), but I'm far too big a fish to let a set go, he ended up with quads on river. Clawed it back and then some in the late/early hours, leaving one 10nl MC table with close to £90. Was challenged to get it to 1000bb, but alas it wasn't happening.

I did feel sorry for one guy. We were playing HU waiting for others to join, think I stacked him 3 times in this period including flopping a set vs TPTK and a very unfortunate board (for him) of 567 9 10 when he had A8 and I had J8. Swings and swongs; I felt pretty unlucky to be set over setted, I then dished this out later in the evening.

I could also do with binking enough money to pay off my Vegas holiday. Think I need £1200 by late March, so it's basically a win in the Turbo, a FT in the Roller, a second in the Rebuy, or 3 wins in the 9.30 BH....gl me!

    Thank you Ducky!

Forgot to mention the comedy hand at half 3 this morning. Won a £15 pot at showdown, vs 2 other people (1 all in for a modest stack), with 9 high. Was tanking down on the river thinking I have to set him in to win this hand but just felt I was getting insta snapped, reluctantly tapped the table and to my surprise I was good :)

There is nowhere to start, Susan. Clear, obvious 3.25am call down with the best hand.

There is a tournament in a small Czech outpost, Rozvadov, in February, that I'd really like to play. Found my cheapo flights, can stay at the hotel linked to the casino for a reasonable price, just need to click 'buy'.... but it seems I'm having a head vs heart battle. This doesn't happen very often as I'm pretty impulsive. Must be getting old and sensible :( See how poker goes this month, a decent few weeks might convince me to go for it. Plus I've never played poker abroad (except Vegas), so it does appeal, as does the chunky guarantee it carries.

This new 4 card league thingy being set up seems popular. I can't play the game so won't be donating, but wish those who do play all the best. Looks like it's gonna get more runners than the Wednesday FOSP game, which, if we're honest, ain't difficult! Well done Brian/Ryan for getting it off the ground, hope it's a success.

Big night tomorrow. No, not the FOSP game. Champions League! So many permutations. We need a favour in Munich, that's for sure. And we go to Rome with the spine of our team ripped apart; no Kompany, Aguero or Toure, and Silva is still only 50/50 for it. Its ridiculous to think that a couple of years we got 10 points and still went out at the group stages, yet if Bayern beat Moscow and we get a score draw in Rome, we go through on 6 points.

I'm gonna go on record saying that Dzeko will be (even more of) a hero tomorrow night....

I really wanna go....it's right before the UKPC though and they have since announced that the mini is £110 buy in and carries a large guarantee. The expenses involved for Czech Republic vs just going to DTD for the weekend to play the mini make it a no brainer, unfortunately I'm not rich enough to do both :)

The flights are still cheap so if I have a rush of blood then it could still happen....
