The man, the bad influence, Slo-Mo, aka Simon Hawksworth.
Always dwells for 20 minutes on every decision, & when he plays golf, takes him 15 mnutes to putt out.
GREAT golfer though. Few can thwack a 3 wood off the tee the way he can, like a bullet.
He has been a terrible influence on my life.
He was probably responsible for me becoming Captain of Royal Ormonde Golf Club. He was a Past Captain at the time, & I think he put me forward for the job.
He also introduced me to Live Poker, at a dingy smoky upstairs place in Collyer Street Derby.
He introduced me to Spread Betting, too. Ugh @ the memory.
He must have cost me an arm & a leg one way & another. What a journey though, would not change it for the world, & I love the bloke.
He cashed in a WSOP jobbie this year, & I railed him across the bubble.
In Response to Re: The Sky Poker UKPC Six Max Mini starts today... : Ha! True.... I was looking for a 4 letter word to describe Frankie, thoiugh..... Posted by Tikay10
DTD get 99.5 out of 100, beat Cardroom ever. Why not 100? MUSIC! Jeez, the music does my head in. Posted by Tikay10
i agree about the music,last time i was there could not win a hand,down to 6bb and the music (dont know if thats the right word for it lol) was so loud i told someone and they agreed and got it turned down.
But still cant wait to get there saturday,whole week of live poker.
All of this coverage is great for the mini event but just wondering how come Sky never ran any sats for it's flagship event? Posted by DoubleAAA
If you mean for the UKPC 6-Max Mini Event, there was a good reason - there is always a reason for everything - but it's not something I can really discuss at this juncture, for commercial reasons, sorry.
Maybe next time, we shall have to see.
We have a Contract with our UKPC Partners @ DTD, both parties have certain obligations, all of which have been fulfilled, & some.

Here's Frankie's current stack, which is blurry because the table just moved.
PS - Why do I suck so bad at taking pictures? Must be the camera, obv.
How many chips you reckon he has?
Puprles = 5,000
Grens = 1,000
Reddish = 500
Black = 100
Local legend of many years standing, formerly ran a Taxi-Cab firm, Basha, star of Dealers Choice.
In the UKPC Omaha, he doubled me up when he called for a gutshot for most of his stack. God bless Basha.
Greek Jack.
The increasingly rotund but ever cheerful Anthony Nicholls.
Rupinder Bedi (George2Loose) next to a somewhat shifty looking Fraser Bellamy.
Dan Carter.
This young lady is puffing away at her Electronic Cigar.
Bet you cannot guess her line of business. Very wealthy Lady, as far as I can tell. Very likely arrived in her Porsche, too. Truly.
Ryan!
Jamie? Never realised Hursty was here.
Have camera, will find him.
Tough table this.
Stripey top, fresh from his sparkling evening on Ch 861 earlier this week, James "MC" "Fido" Atkin.
Next to him is Mr Vinson. That'll be Ben or Adam. I wish I could remember which.....
True....

Amongst the late arrivals was none other than Stu Fox.
Also spotted, a real blast from the past, Nick Slade, a former member of the Blackpool Poker Mafia. No idea what he has been doing the last few years.
Current DTD music?
Chilli Peppers, Californication.
Excellent choice.
Great vid, too.
If you ever get chance to read "Scar Tissue" by Anthony Keidis, make sure you do. Extraordinary life Mr Keidis has lived. Good looking boy, too.
