In Response to Re: My story : Only one person, mate? Sounds like Heaven to me! To have the police turn upon your doorstep seems like a step too far. We all have folk at like we don't particularly get along with, but sounds like he's crossed the line. I will PM you my number. Text me and I can have a price on his head within twenty minutes. Ha,thanks for the offer Brian, unfortunately "hit men" tend to get their botty smacked
Hi Tom, sorry to hear your having a torrid time at work mate. I hope things get resolved in your favour. I hope you aren't getting too stressed about it, because as you probably realise more than anyone, life's too short. On the Poker front, it was good to briefly share a table with you in last nights DTD and say Hi, and you have the prospect of the carnage at MK in June to look forward to. Bummer I won't be their, but I'm sure you, your boys and the Outlaws will have a ball. Chin up mate Craig Posted by 67Bhoys
Thanks Craig, carnage is my middle name sorry you won't be able to make it, hope to meet up in the future,tc and glk.
Ah poop Tom, want me to come down and scary him for ya? Chin up mi lovely, you have a lovely family who will be there for you no matter what And as Craig said..... MK partiessssssssssssssssssss to look forward to and I shall personally (instruct slip to) buy you a beer Posted by samantha25
Aww shucks, thanks Sam,it's always good to have a dominant woman around
Tom-please be careful what you post on here, as you never know if someone (such as this person, or your employer) might be monitoring it. I have messaged you in case I can help you. Hope all goes well. Phil Posted by Essexphil
Thanks Phil, very valid point, I am on my iPad at present and don't know how to get to my pm, I shall have a look as soon as I can and reply, once again thank you, i try to avoid knee jerk reactions like voicing off on here, sometimes I fail miserably though, I shall learn .
Unbelievable. Try & rise above it, Tom. There are some seriously mean people around, who get their kicks from being nasty, but as this thread shows, the good guys are in the vast majority. Anyway, never mind the trivialities, how are you now, how's your health now? Posted by Tikay10
Hi mr K, I do try to rise above these things, hard though when I get a knock at the door on the day my son broke his mobile phone and I have borrowed him my car to get to work,I had been texting him all day to no reply so you can imagine my shock at two policemen at 6.30 pm at the door. It took me back to the doctors face when she was telling me what she suspected, needless to say my first thoughts were for him and his safety.
In the circumstances I didn't know whether to laugh or cry when they told me what they had come for.
My health? I had been feeling optimistic as the bathroom issues were getting less frequent,I walked into town the other day,a journey what would usually take me 20mins,took me twice that and I was pooped.my bathroom issues have returned with a vengeance, but on the flip side I am still here and got a good few years ahead of me if the treatment works.thanks for asking,tc. And hope all is going well for you and your colleagues on the sky sports channel.

Life's great...isn't it.. There is one particular individual at work who doesn't like me, hey ho we can't get on with everyone right? The problem was I was his boss when I was on the shop floor, anytime I questioned his work or tried to point out certain areas of improvement,I would get a mouthful of abuse,ah well we are all adults and he is known for this behaviour. Indeed on my last radiotherapy appointment I was walking to my wife in the car, stopped to point something out to him and was given another torrent of abuse, needless to say any stress for me at this and any other time during my treatment has a massive effect on me. Last Friday I went to try and help a person on the shop floor, they had been given wrong instruction as I later found out by this person who hates me, I said as a matter of courtesy we best check with him as it may be just a case of mis communication.of course I should have known better as I get another tirade of abuse, he then pushed me out of his way,ran up to the md and started shouting in his office. Ten minutes later I am called into the md's office,am suspended, pending investigation.last night the police came to my house and issued an harassment order. Life couldn't get any better for me ey. Poker wise, doing ok. Posted by tomgoodun
OMG
some people do seem to live in a different world
they have their view of what is fact and right and fair, and will not condone any disagreement
and they will inflict that opinion on anyone and everyone
and they even get others to believe their worldview regardless of the actual facts
Hi Tom just stumbled across this thread. I hope that you are having a good day today. Hope to come across you on the tables one day. Don't let them get you down. Chin up, you've got a lot of people that have got your back.
Thanks for all the messages of support, I am still at home waiting for the inevitable. It brings it home to me how lucky I have been over the years to have gainful employment, things I have taken for granted like having a car, driving to work, having holidays, paying the mortgage etc etc, all can be taken away just like that as Tommy Cooper used to say.
I have tried to keep myself busy doing bits of housework, yesterday I washed the windows inside and out,was dead proud and pointed them out to the wife on her return, then I notice the smears left by the squeegee...sigh.no job as a window cleaner for me then.
I also have a dabble on the pokeramo during the day, not been too much of a disaster but no final table or big binkages yet.
My son took me to the casino on Sunday to get me out, and also for him and I to practice live play for the up-coming MK forum get together, huge thanks to the organisers of this btw, there was 79 runners, table draw had us sitting next to each other, not good but we played our normal games, I fin 28th, he did better than me and fin 18th, he would have done better had his Aq held vs allin q10, #livepokersriggedinnit.
Still feeling bit rough, I hope it's just because of the stress and nothing untoward is wrong.
That's it for now, hope to have better news next week, tc all and good luck.

Tom. On these facts, you seem to think it is inevitable that your employer will shove with 3 2 off, and that you will fold your pocket rockets. "Disability discrimination" and "reasonable adjustments" are likely to be key here. PLEASE take advice asap, or reply to my PM. Also, please tell your doctor about this. Take care
